Super safe and clean well situated hotel

Super well situated clean hotel When coming from airport drop off is a bit tricky but still very close so u are not lugging your bag very far and the pick up is literally in front of the hotel. Super clean hôtel breakfast was good but most importantly super safe and neighbourhood is high end so very safe to walk to at night. Close to piazza San Marco and all other points so also very key. Venice is super stupid expensive so not worth spending money on hotels if you walk 12-14 hours of the day like we did. Definitely a high recommend
Amazing find, great location

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights before a cruise. We originally picked it on a whim and what a find! It is a great location although there is a gondola station right outside that books groups so it can get a little crowded out front. I just popped open a bottle of Prosecco and watched the people from our 2nd floor, corner room. Our room was small but comfortable. Our room was warm at night and we could not figure out temperature control but just propped open a window to cool off the room. The breakfast was a nice spread of pastries, meats, cheeses and fruit. There was a bar area but I do not know if they served drinks or other meals as we were out exploring most of our time there. The location was the best thing about this hotel. We were on a small canal and had to deal with Acqua Alta in the mornings but it really wasn’t an issue. We were just a few blocks from St. Mark’s square. We had no idea how close we were until we started exploring. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and when we return, we will stay again.

When we first stayed in 2011 july we were in Venice for the Sting concert at San Marco, we loved the hotel very much, location, staff and hotel itself That was reflecting the Veneziano style .. the lady at the reception advised us a restaurant la scala where we had a delicous lunch and met an old signor whose Acordione playing picture was hanging on the wall of the rest And he himself eating at that moment there. We spent lovely 4 days in Venice. After Years, nov.2019 , we wanted to come to Venice Bienale and asked for a place from the hotel with an e mail. Same signora who advised us that lovely restaurant 9 years ago replied with a kind emai to us and we Came & stayed again violino d’oro , it was fantastic again , breakfast, staff , location ecerything were perfect. And we went to eat again At alla scala restaurant but forgot to ask that old signor with whom we Had talked with warm feelings in 2011. Today my daughter who is a student in Italy visited Venice and went to restaurant Alla scala and had her lunch and told them her forth visit to Venice and third visit to restaurant, and learnt that the old signor is pretty well at his 92 years old😊 Violino D’oro is not an only hotel for us, Like a home, whatever the reason of our visit to Venice, the only choice of us will definetely be Violino D’oro 🙏
Prefect for a short stay

We stayed here for a few nights for my partners birthday. The hotel is in a perfect location and close to the main tourist areas. We had a room with a canal view, it was basic but clean and comfortable. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was also very good with a good variety.
Third time’s the charm ❤️

This was our third stay here and it was perfect. The staff was very helpful with our early storage of our luggage, questions about transportation and dining suggestions. The location is perfect for getting to see all the attractions and also those wonderful hidden gems. It’s our home away from home and I pray we get to return.
