Great location and good value.

This hotel is just a few minutes walk from St Mark's Square and directly opposite the waterbus stops so could not be in a better location for exploring Venice.
It is a small hotel so has that 'personal touch' which you don't get in larger, chain hotels. My room was a good size, clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom with a decent shower. There was air conditioning which I did not need to use as the outside temperature was not that hot during my visit.
Breakfast was excellent given the current restrictions in place due to Covid-19. Each room was given an allocated table in the restaurant and fruit, yoghurt, cheese, ham and breads were all brought out along with orange juice, water and coffee. There was certainly plenty to fill you up in preparation for a day of sightseeing!
All the staff I spoke with were extremely friendly and helpful. There was free WiFi throughout the hotel which was a good speed.
I would certainly stay here again on any future visit to Venice as the location is excellent and it was very good value for money.

It was above average as a 3 star hotel. Lovely hotel in a great location looking over the main lagoon. Reasonable cost, with a cold continental breakfast included. Lovely bread and Cappuccino I must say.
There is no elevator, but luggage is delivered by elevator. Modern room, good size, as was the bathroom. I found the place clean, good service and COVID compliant.
It is a 5 minute walk from St Marco Square and 2 minutes if that from the local ferry service.
English not an issue. It would be helpful if the rooms had number to call reception if help was needed or even emergency numbers to call.
Great stay amazing food

I would like to start with the location, it is the most amazing location in Venice! The view we had from the room windows is the same as one of the most expensive hotel in Venice just few meters away.
Our room had 3 windows looking at the bacino San Marco, just pure bliss! The bathroom was just redone very clean and modern.
The owner and all staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was served in the conservatory looking at the water and the riva .
But the most surprising was the restaurant, it was truly a fantastic dinner we had last night so good that we decided to replicate tonight.
I had mussels served with a light spicy tomato sauce, perfectly cooked , a risotto that was delicious with small fish and a crema catalana absolutely delicious.
I strongly recommend pensione Wildner for the hotel and the restaurant perfect for a short or long stay in Venice.
Just be aware that there is no lift but despite i am not very young it was all worth it!

The hotel is about a few minutes to St Marks plaza! This is a 3 star pensione / hotel, but nonetheless it is lovely. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and kept spotlessly clean. (Be aware there are 4 floors, and there is no lift in the building.)! Many thanks to Michele making our stay memorable!

We recently returned from our 3rd stay at Pensione Wildner, having previously visited in December 2017 and 2018.
The hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from Saint Mark's square, and is extremely convenient for the vaporetto and Alilaguna. The drop off point for the shared water taxi airport transfer is opposite the pensione entrance, at the regular water taxis stop.
The reason for our return is the location and views. We have booked a superior room each time, and these rooms look directly onto St Mark's basin, the island of San Giorgio Maggiore and Guidecca.
The views are spectacular, and it truly is all about location, location location! We have been lucky enough to visit Venice several times, staying in hotels from high end to mid range, but the views from Pensione Wildner are the very best we have had!
This is a 3 star pensione / hotel, but nonetheless it is lovely. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and kept spotlessly clean. (Be aware there are 4 floors, and there is no lift in the building.) There is no bar area or lounge for residents, although we did see folk having a nightcap in the entrance area/hallway.
The rooms are decorated in traditional Venetian style, fabric (? silk) wall hangings, wooden floors, and Murano glass lighting. The beds are extremely comfortable. Free WiFi and a room safe are provided. The bathrooms are quite small, a little faded and nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate. They have a walk-in shower, no bath. A bathrobe would be lovely. (I take my own slippers as none provided.)
There is also a TV, but from memory, the channels were only Italian ones.
As mentioned we tend to visit in the off season. Our room has generally been on the first floor, and there can be some noise from people outside, and the many watercraft. This has not affected our enjoyment, but could potentially be more of an issue in high season.
Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant, an extension at the front of the building. Nothing fancy, the usual offerings of rolls, excellent croissants, cake, cheese, ham, eggs, fruit and yoghurt. (No hot dishes.) Perfectly acceptable to set you up for the day.
We usually dine in the restaurant one evening during our stay, which is also open at lunchtime. This offers authentic local food and fish. (Pizzas are also available).
Michele has always been incredibly helpful both during our visits and via e mail exchanges beforehand. Thanks to all team Wildner for another lovely stay.
We will definitely be returning!
