Very poor customer service!
Terrible customer service, ignoring emails. Promised but never delivery. Due to the global pandemic we were unable to go on our trip and were told we would get a voucher to re-book... that has not happened. I've been fighting +5 months for this and not a single reply. Booking.com have not helped the situation. To be honest I am completely disappointed in the way they have handled the situation and would NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL to anyone. Looking at some other reviews, its a waste of time and your money! Very unprofessional!
Great location
We really liked this hotel. The location was great- very close to the water bus for the grande canal, St Marks Square, St Marks Basilica and the Doges Palace, as well as restaurants. The air con was lovely and meant that you could sleep with the window closed as there could be a little noise in the alley way below. Parts of the hotel were a little tired, but the location more than made up for it. The hotel cat called Whiskey made me happy :)
Super little hotel so close to everything
Just returned from a few days at Carnival time in Venice - and cannot understand others' reviews - we found this hotel perfect - we had a small double room overlooking the street (which I loved) - just so close to San Marco square and easily walkable to everywhere we needed. Cannot fault the friendliness and cleanliness. Would thoroughly recommend.
Don’t bother!
The pictures online look AMAZING... the reality is nowhere near the same. Our room (106) was tiny, the bathroom stank to high heaven and the room was horrendously hot (the radiator was behind a grid so we could not access it to turn it down). Breakfast is left out so if you don’t get there first thing, it is stale. We booked a “superior” room for our honeymoon, this room was no better than a cheap b&b. Do not stay here. Total rip off.
I would not go back there
Where to start from... We arrived at 5,30 pm, the reception was supposed to be opened (it is clearly stated it is closed between 6 pm and 8 am). Not a big problem, we thought, we had received the access code and found the key and instructions at the desk. However, as we entered the room, it was damn COLD, the bad only had a thin blanket on. the heater in the bathroom was working but the one in the bedroom was absolutely COLD. We sent a message as instructed in the directions, we were called back after 20 minutes. The lady o the phone told us the system is down until 6 pm, so we had to wait, as I explained that the other heaters were ON, she just hung up quickly. We were back at 7,30 PM and the room was still cold. I tried to call again and sent another message, but no answers so far. Fortunately, I found a closet in the corridor where I could take 3 more blankets to afford the night. Just to clarify, the heater was broken as the valve was closed, the tube was hot in the wall, but the water was not circulating in the heater as the valve had been locked closed and broken by someone before us... (see image) Other little things worth mentioning: the soap holder in the bathroom was broken (when pushing on it the whole top was coming out) the Shower only had one side of its doors, so while showering a lot of water was flowing out The mattresses were 2 different heights, so the double bed had an annoying hard line in the middle... I know the price we paid is not stellar (81€ per night), but in winter, warm room temperature is a must, which a low price can't justify ROOM 105 FYI
