Fabulous location but not easy to find on arrival, helpful staff directed us when we phoned. Canal view was a disappointment with scaffold adjacent and such a narrow canal. Ornate Italian styling giving us a local feel. Service was ok.

We spend our honeymoon there. The Suite was unrenovated, shower and toilet flush did not work, so we had to bring someone the first day, but it still did not work. The apartment was not really dirty, but had stains on walls and floor, it was not renovated for years. That kind of place should not even have one star. But most terrible: everywhere construction works. In the hotel above us and in front. Our „canal-view“ was just an outlook on a big plastic-banner and the noise was so loud on the first day, that we had to scream to each other. We got another room, that was better, but the staff was unfriendly and there was no manager we could talk to. I cannot recommend this hotel and suites at all. It’s not worth the price and does not deserve any stars but pretends to have 4! The furniture is broken and things are not working. The window above the photo was our room

Very difficult to find from the drop off area for the water taxis . When we found the Suites we were delighted with the position / location and our suite balcony overlooked the side streets off St Marco Sq . Our suite had 2 useable balconies . We had a small kitchen with basic appliances . Aircon did not work first night but quickly ixed when we reported problem . Furnishings in the room and hotel space were very good Breakfast was a buffet style with OK choices . Only downside was that you had a 5 minute walk from the suite to the main hotel for breakfat and if there was rain this could be a problem . Would stay here again
Bottom line: Perfect! We will defineitely pick this hotel again! Thank you!

We were upgraded from our booked junior suite with canal view to a full suite with canal view - a whole beautiful comfy flat! The suite, the hotel, the staff... it felt like home. The location is perfect: only a few steps to San marco, another few to best restaurants (Bistrot Venise, Le Chat Qui Rit, da Mano) and Teatro Goldoni and not far to other major sites. I didn't rate it excellent because our first impression was unfavorable: reaching the hotel was confusing and harassing (I asked for directions by mail but got none - just the exact address). Everyday something went wrong (no electricity, no hot water, bothering nextdoor noise, kettle but no cups, no robes & slippers) - but ALL was immediately attended to and rendered our Carnival stay just perfect! P.S. Please add hard boiled eggs to good breakfast - the omelettes are aweful.
Great location, good value for money

The suite is a small apartment, very big considering it’s location. It’s conveniently located 50 meters from San Marco square, easy to reach considering Venice geography. The right address for check in is the royal San Marco hotel address : 848, San Marco - take the Calle Dei Dai from San Marco square to reach it. I read some negative reviews about the breakfast but the hotel offers a standard Italian breakfast and some international options. You can have croissants, breads, biscuits, cake, jam, Nutella, cereals, yogurt, pancakes, cold cuts, fruits and juices. And coffee of course. So I don’t understand the bad reviews about this. I also found the staff to be quite nice. The room features a living room, small kitchen, bedroom, dressing room and a bathroom. The locked room is an electrical facility room not a second bathroom, so it is safe to keep it locked. The bedroom features two large beds but they are not fully double so if you area build up couple you may choose to sleep in two separate beds. The toiletries are again basic Italian: shower gel, soap, shower cap. A four star should offer slippers, a comb and tooth brush at least bit in italy the four stars are a bit below standard. The bathroom is renewed. The room was quite and facing a canal just behind San Marco. I loved the place and found it worth the price payed. Would definitely suggest it!
