Nice wedding weekend

Bed comfortable. Staff courteous and helpful. Good coffee in lobby. Each room is spacious and different. Somewhat dated. Nice function room for reception event and brunch buffet. Could have enjoyed more amenities in nicer weather.
Recommended. Warm, relaxing and peaceful stay.

A Peaceful retreat in a relaxing, warm and clean environment. We arrived 14/11 for a one night stay (gift from parents). The rooms are modern and quirky, food tasty and service speedy. Thank you, we will return and have recommended to others.
Quaint but certainly not luxury…

Not withstanding Covid-19 and staffing shortages, I feel that the hotel was overpriced. It’s more on care-worn side of things with a lack of basic amenities - e.g., laundry bags, q tips, etc. The spa was not clean. Overflowing trash cans and the showers had hair in the drains. Glad I wore my spa sandals! Our massage therapists Richard and Stacie were the highlight along with the Tavern Restaurant and those wings! Friendly staff. Not going back.
Low value but clean

Classic example of calling something resort and spa to puff up the room rates. The room - closet maybe, maybe, 36 inches wide. Bathroom - bathtub with slick marble tiles surround (extremely slick when wet) and no soap dish, no grab bar. That is inexcusable. The sink a pedestal type, almost no room for toiletries, GFCI maybe 12 inches, maybe, from the sink and no hooks for hair iron or hair dryer. I cannot imagine it is up to code, GFCI's do fail at times. Dinner - good starters, Brussels sprouts very good and the same with onion rings. The entrees were terrible. Was asked indoor or out and chose out. It smelled musty, poorly lit, more like a campsite pavilion (with a very well made roof) than a 'resort'. Was told that we had to make reservations and give information like phone number as / State regulations. No other restaurant in Vermont that we ate at was doing that. I could go on and on but if an employer is paying then what the heck but 415 $ gross room expense for one night was ridiculous. It wasn't high season and it's outside of Burlington VT not downtown Nashville or Bethesda Maryland. And at 415 / night at that location there should not be restrictions on room services, not by a long shot. And lastly the wi fi was out on Thursday morning. Crazy, crazy, crazy that it wasn't handled better, there were small business conferences scheduled that day, business people that had work to do, etc. Don't say I didn't warn you. Resort and Spa = dig deep in your wallet.
Yes pet friendly but a bit underwhelming overall

For a visit to Burlington, it was a choice between The Essex and Green Mountain Suites. I wish I had gone with the latter at least I would have been closer to downtown. The Essex was underwhelming and we just didn't connect with it. For the nightly rate they charged, I had higher expectations, perhaps a bit more luxurious vibe. This was our first pet friendly stay. We chose a studio. Our room was on the first floor right near the entrance. Made it easy to walk the dog but also not as quiet. The kitchen portion was nice but the rest of the room, nothing special. Bath tub was generic. Blow dryer basic. Only one robe, we were two people. The bed was comfy, good night sleep! Our interactions with staff were minimal...there didn't seem to be much staff around. I used the pool & hot tub once. No complaints. The pool locker room was lackluster. We ate at the Tavern since Junction was closed. The beer specials were good. The food was okay enough, nothing memorable. That's just it...this place is not memorable. I expected to be wowed and I wasn't. Did not participate in any of culinary activities nor the Spa. I cancelled my spa appt because I feared it would be disappointing as well. We checked out a night early. Thankfully they let us do so without penalty.
