Piccolo Hotel preserves its warm and friendly atmosphere of hotels of once and is therefore surely the fittest accommodation for who comes to Verona for a weekend of relaxation or of cultural tourism, whether alone, in two or with the family. The hotel is extremely quiet, as it is situated near a garden and easily reachable from the railway station (only 400 meters away). It's only a 15 minutes walk to the city centre and thus in a perfect position for those who want to move in a cheap and easy way, whether with your children or your four-legged friends, who are also welcome. Truly amazing hotel 5 Stars great value for your Euros

Reviewed 20 july, 2022

Here for 5 nights my second stay. Since my first the hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard. My only issue was finding it again as there are no signs and it’s a short distance from the train station in theory so arrived feeling a little hot and. It’s also at least 20 minutes from the Arena. So a great room cool with air conditioning which was welcome. Room cleaned daily as was the bedding and towels very welcome in this weather. Breakfast everything you could think of I loved the scrambled eggs and lovely bacon. The lady in charge of the breakfast was a little grumpy but maybe she struggled with the languages but a smile and Bonjourno or a smile and a Good Morning. The rest of the staff helpful and friendly. Would I stay here again ! You bet I would and will encourage my friends and family ! Ciao !

Verona weekend

Reviewed 9 july, 2022

My wife and I went for a weekend in Verona at Easter, we chose this hotel because of its distance from the train station and the city centre. The room we had was basic enough but adequate the bed was comfy and there was enough room and it was clean, we were on the ground floor which was handy for breakfast which although did not have an extensive choice had enough. The centre of Verona is walkable with the Basilica , Roman ruins an the Colosseum among other things. We took a day trip to Garda on Lake Garda, we went by train to Peschiara del Garda and got the ferry with navigazionelaghi.it, the journey took an hour, Garda is a nice small town to spend a few hours with a nice walkway along the shore to Bardolino. On the way back the train was full, standing room only, probably due to the Easter holidays. I would say 3 days is enough for a short break and we enjoyed our time both in Verona and at the hotel. As a last thin some people might get a shock at some of the toilets see photo.. .

Very good value

Reviewed 27 june, 2022

We wanted a hotel with parking that was easy to get to, and were very lucky to pick the Hotel Piccolo. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, our room was very clean and comfortable, and we could park in the hotel garage. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. The hotel is in a quiet location, but only a twenty minute stroll to the centre of Verona, so very convenient for exploring the city. We thought it was excellent value for money, and will stay there again.

The hotel is a very nice place, located near the train station, and about 15 min.walk to old Town. The breakfast is rich and tasteful . We surely come back. 🙂 The room was very nice and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Is a very good deal.

Lord of the flies

Reviewed 4 june, 2022

I had a bad experience with flies in my room. I did realise before going to bed as a few kept landing on me and the furnishings. In the morning I saw the amount of flies accumulating in the bathroom and bedroom. As you can imagine, I didn’t want to stay in there long. I took pictures and a video and went to the front desk to explain and show. However, the man at the reception became VERY defensive, shouting at me and saying I should have said sooner, I tried to explain that I was notifying him now but that wasn’t good enough. I posted a review on Google due to his mannerisms and rudeness. The reply I received was blaming me as the guest for opening a window, which I had not, and saying I write bad reviews and I was shouting and complaining. It just shows that there are businesses that can not see the improvements they need to make. I have attached photos.
