A great 3 star hotel

Stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of July. This is a very relaxed but elegant Italian hotel. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and very well kept We were lucky enough to get a room with a small terrace overlooking the Adriatic. The room was a little on the small side but with the balcony it was more than adequate with fantastic views. Some of the fittings are a little dated but everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were very attentive, friendly and relaxed. The restaurant was very good, and good value as well. I was advised by one German guest that it was the best restaurant for a 100 miles and whilst this might be an exaggeration, it was very good. For us, the location was perfect, just a 5 minute stroll to the beachfront but far enough away so that it was very quiet, and in your room rate you have access to one of the beach clubs. The beach was also very nice and not over crowded, but during these Covid days, everywhere was quieter. There was also a large car park with easy access. In summary, a beautiful, well kept and spotlessly clean hotel with friendly service and a great restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return

Lovely hotel

This is a lovely hotel . It is elegant, stylish and if I am ever in Puglia again I will stay there . The staff are friendly, the restaurant is excellent and the atmosphere is serene . The town of San Menaio is a very family oriented place and our week there was lovely.

Great hotel, but... not necessarily for foreigners. Very limited English speaking staff but very friendly and helpful. Breakfast also typically Italian, sweet, but to be honest there is possibility to order eggs the way you like it and cold meet. But restaurant a'la carte is just great if you sea food lover. Will not recommend pasta a'la Carbonara. Was just less than average. Great selection of local vines. Rooms depending on the price with different degree of comfort but very clean. Towels were not changed every day, it was most probably depending on the estimation of cleaning staff. Very important ! Private beach available included in the price in the best localization of the village. All and all it was very good week in San Menaio. I recommend this hotel to all who look for privacy and good kitchen.

classically Italian hotel with a sense of old grandeur

We only stayed here one night, but were impressed. Set back a little from the beach, slightly up the hill, this classically Italian hotel has a sense of old grandeur, if on a modest scale. Its position gave it a sense of peacefulness and calm, more so I’m sure in the busy peak season. The hotel is 100 years old, but is smart and clean, inside and out. We were there out of season and the manager or owner offered us a free upgrade with a lovely private terrace overlooking the pine trees. Friendly and professional. When we left, we forgot a rather expensive shampoo and also conditioner, only realising 3 or 4 days later. We called the hotel, not really expecting them to have kept them. However, they had! We picked them up on our journey home.

ELEGANT HOTEL

The best word to describe Park Hotel Villa Maria is elegant. This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and it is fabulous. I would not think of staying at any other hotel when we are on the Gargano. The only thing better than the hotel is the restaurant. The food is outstanding. I highly recommend the sole.
