Tryp Los Galeones

We happily arrived at this hotel after a 29km hike. Our check in was very easy and our room was very large and comfortable. What made our day was our evening meal at the restaurant. Our waiters Salvador and Sonia were excellent. Salvador was so kind and helpful, and accommodated my gluten free meal perfectly. I would recommend staying here if hiking the Camino.

A great location if you are doing the Camino. Near restaurants. The rooms are big with a bathtub. Free breakfast and internet. They have a lot of rooms but the top floor does not have lift service it only goes to floor 5 and my room is on 6. The staff is friendly.

This hotel was handy to the camino but its surrounds were not that inspiring, it seemed to be in the business district. In any event, it was modern and clean and our room was large, bright with a nice bathroom, lots of marble everywhere. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Our only complaint was that we weren't made to feel very welcome by staff there, Perhaps it was because we were pilgrims, who knows. Breakfast was reasonable with scrambled eggs and bacon, a tomato confit sort of mixture, lots of cakes, cereals and they even had soymilk, hallelujah! There was lots of fruit and bread. When we were leaving, we each took a piece of fruit but were told by the waiter that it was not allowed by the hotel, which was a bit awkward!

We arrived at the hotel after a long bike ride which we had informed the hotel before hand. Our luggage was delivered to the hotel and when we asked during check in to the reception clerk he simply knot his head saying yes...seems like...of course of course. So we stored our bikes over at the garage and went up to the room expecting the luggage to be in the room. Not only the luggage was not there but also they did not had a double bed but a twin bed....went down to the reception to ask a room change and about our luggage. The reception guy said that it was only a request that they did not have double bed rooms available....I looked up to his and simply said: This is not good at all. Suddenly we got a double bed! But the wanted me to go up to my previous rooms, pick up the key, come back down to then get the new room key!!! WTF! Rooms and hotel and breakfast just standard as what expected but service and cleanliness was TERRIBLE. We got hair in the bathroom and the shower gets the bathrooms turns into a swimmingpool.

A great hotel with very friendly and attentive staff. The room was very clean and well-appointed. A fantastic host in the restaurant for dinner – we spoke very little Spanish, he spoke very little English, but we got on absolutely great, and we had fun; and the food and wine were both very good quality. Breakfast was good, with an excellent choice. Great hotel, and would stay again.
