First off wanted to start on the positive note - the staff was very nice and friendly. However how it is ran is a little different from any other hotel I have ever stayed at. When checking in I had to charge my whole amount to my card... not a hold but the whole "enchilada". Normally when staying anywhere else they charge everything at the end of the stay... threw me off a bit and there was not really a good excuse why they had to do that. Second, got to the room early before check in time and that was a nice surprise. Thankfully, we were not going to be spending but time in it because it was small, we got 2 beds and gezzz those were not the best. Also, we were put right next to all the hotel construction off of 34th Street - front desk did not say anything about that.. that was not fun the next few mornings waking up at 6AM till we just left the room because it was so annoying. Going through the room I appreciate all the kitchenware but let's be practical... are we really goanna use all that?! (Maybe some water bottles in the fridge would be kind). I think focusing on little things like how there was no soap for yourself (body/hair wise) again thankfully we had brought all our soaps for the shower because the one tiny thing they provided was not practical. Pool area was nice - they don't clean the floors, but I got over that by wearing my sandals most of the time. They do mop the floor in the lobby every like 12-20 min so that was nice to see. Sadly going up to the room there was not hair dryer so called the front desk and they said in about 10 min someone would drop it off...about 30 min or so I had to go meet people so I just left and they said they are just going to put it on the floor of the hallway till I got back.... weird. The third thing that really bothered us was they did not say verbally when checking in there would be no housekeeping, there was a piece of paper that said they were not going to be doing that for 'health reasons' tbh if they were just short staffed, I would prefer to hear that. I have stayed in other hotels since COVID and still get our rooms cleaned daily so that was really annoying! When we asked for more towels, they threw them in a big trash bag not folded in front of our room door. It did not feel very homey and for them to just have us keep our dirty towels in our room till we left was gross - they could have gotten ahead on that cleaning for other guests or just for how much we paid a night not to have our room tended to was kind of ridiculous. Side note - no bar in the lobby like mentioned in website. Other then all that little stuff the hotel's location was good not to be in the heart of the beach town.

This was our first time at Virginia Beach. I was there with my family. The staff at the resort was friendly, polite and very helpful. There was always someone there to assist with any needs. The resort itself was very clean, kept well and very easy to get around. The pools and gym were clean and kept well. There was always someone on the pool deck cleaning up. The place is very well maintained. I would recommend this resort to any one visiting the area. Compared to other hotels along the strip, this one was definitely one of the best. There are 2 indoor and 2 outdoor pools. One indoor pool is for adults 21 and up. There's also a very nice fire pit in that area to just sit out side and chill. There is a lounge on the 10th floor for anyone. There's an indoor and outdoor area up there. Great for a gathering or party. The gym/fitness center was well maintained with a large variety of equipment.

During the day We enjoyed biking and walking on the beach. The fire pit overlooking the ocean was a plus. Every evening we enjoyed a dip in the warm pool and then the hot tub. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Friendly staff and clean rooms! Very nice property and they have been updating it. Right on the beach and across the street from Pocahontas a great local breakfast spot! Highly recommend staying here and will be back!

It was very pleasant to see some updates . I really hope when we comeback we have. Ew furniture! Would love to see the martini open back up or some kind of little snack bar or something that served cocktails.
