Hotel right in the middle of town. Large rooms but rather tired. Bed a bit lumpy. Bathroom very good. Clean, everything worked and the shower was good. Stayed half board. Food plentiful but buffet not very good. Food lukewarm and not well cooked. Veggie option was always pasta - overcooked and uninspiring. Only vegetables, no protein included. At breakfast it was a case of when it’s gone, it’s gone. Excellent coffee though so that was a bonus. Staff ok on the whole but bar staff on the grumpy side. Last orders at 10pm and then they started rearranging tables for breakfast. We were a big group and would happily have spent a lot more money.
Good value, very friendly staff
We stayed here for 4 nights and were very happy with the room and the hotel in general. We had a 4 bedroom room, and still there was enough space for a small table and chairs. The room was clean, the bed was fine, the bathroom was clean. The bathroom had a bathtub, which was great for the kids, but no shower, which is my only remark. The breakfast buffet is good, and there is a parking garage for a small fee (6€ a night I think). The staff is friendly and speaks english. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant twice, the food was very good and not too expensive. They have a kids corner, which was great (we were travelling with a 5 and a 3 year old). We would certainly come back if we were in the area again.
Appalling rude staff
Arrived to abusive rude man on reception. No welcome just shouting and abuse. Have stayed here before but never experienced this in fact never experienced this in any other hotel. Completely unacceptable would not recommend to anyone
Very good hotel in the center of the village
I spent twice a night in the hotel together with friends while on a hiking tour. The hotel is overall very clean. Rooms are rather large. We could not get the airco working, so we opened the window. For a small village, it is rather noisy around the hotel. The bathroom is large and convenient, but the shower head required repairs. The breakfast is decent for the size of the hotel and certainly better than what one can find usually in the Czech Republic. I would definitely come back next time I am in Vrchlabi.
Clean and quiet
Lovely little hotel on the main street in Vrchlabi, with a nice little courtyard in front. As stated before, clean rooms which are minimal but have everything you need. Food in restaurant was good and value for money. Parking was available for a price underground. I arrived late on Sunday night and the man behind the counter could only speak German. No problem, we understood each other with my bad GCSE German and pointing! Very friendly. Breakfast basic but im not a big breakfast eater so suits me fine. Would stay again.
