Good but dated

Stayed here for 4 nights, which we booked through Costco Travel. The location is great, directly across the street from Kamaole Beach 3. It's also near food, stores, etc. The condo had 1 bedroom, which was a little small, and 2 bedrooms. The kitchen and living room were spacious and it also had a washer & dryer. Overall, not a bad stay. One thing they can improve on is updating the rooms and furniture. Went to the gym one morning but it was very small, maybe 5 people max could fit in there. I think this place is good for a long stay or for families that need extra bedrooms, or if you want to save some money as it is cheaper than other hotel options in the area.
Fabulous location and wonderful accommodations.

We rented our unit through Airbnb. This is the perfect location across the street from one of the most beautiful beaches. The landscaping is beautiful. The pool is clean and a good size. It is pretty quiet and family friendly. I would highly recommend!

Rented an Airbnb here for our Hawaiian vacation. Great complex. Safe and gated condos. Loved the pool! Easy check in process and friendly front desk staff. Best thing was the location right across from the beach park. Would stay here again!
Great condo! 3-405

We couldn't have been happier with the condo in building 3-405. Everything was updated and the kitchen had everything we needed. The communication and check-in with PMI Maui were great. We did not have any issues with them. The ground was beautifully kept and maintained. This condo is close to the pool, you can hear people at the pool, but at 10p the complex has quiet time. The pool area has items that you can rent for activities, we only rented snorkel gear for a day. The complex is right across from the beach, just a short walk through the grounds. We did not use any of the other amenities on the grounds as we spent time exploring the island. The condo as I mentioned was fully equipped. Upon arrival, we were able to go straight to the condo, as it had a keyless door lock and the access code is something that you create prior to arriving. According to our agreement, we were supposed to check-in, but I didn't read that and we never did. My bad. The condo was very clean. This is technically not a 2 bedroom, it's 1 closed bedroom and 1 loft. The view is great. They start you off with some basic start-up supplies. There were beach chairs, a beach umbrella(that has seen its better days-it was broken when we tried to use it, so we didn't bother with it the rest of the time) boogie boards, a very small beach cooler(could fit 4 cans), 4 beach towels(well really 2 were beach towels and 2 were regular towels-it served its purpose) and beach toys. Overall, I rate this condo very high as it is updated. The kitchen is beautiful. The one thing that we would have liked to know is what the parking spot number was for the condo. When we first arrived we parked in 405, assuming spots were assigned by condo number, however it is a different parking spot number. We did find that out when we arrived in the condo and read the binder of information. Make sure you read this as you will need to know the code for getting into the pool and gym.
Don't book a room managed by PMI Maui (Inquire before booking)

I hardly ever do reviews of rooms, as my expectations are usually spot on for what I am booking. In this case I am not dissatisfied with Kamaole Sands (The Resort) or the Unit (#7-205). The grounds were maintained beautifully, unit was very nicely appointed, and staff was friendly. What was wrong in our eyes was upon arrival, many things in the unit (which was booked for two weeks by me, my wife, and four year old son) were not provided or cleaned. The floors had sand all over them, there was no laundry soap and most soap bottles in the sink were empty, two rolls of toilet paper, all bedding was damp and smelled like mildew....among some other small things (light bulbs out). I called Resort, who had me call PMI Maui (property management) and was told by each rep that I talked to that they only provided starter amounts and that these properties are in a wet humid climate with sandy beaches near by....and offered to replace anything that was empty, but that never happened, even after calling multiple times on day two and three. As I am writing this we still have a week left in this unit....which I would never review before any stay or service is complete. So I give this poor review to the property management company in this case for us.
