When I pulled in, I was kind of put off by the fact that this hotel is at the location of the Iowa 80 Truck Stop. I was expecting lots of noise. Though I could hear some, the room was actually pleasingly quiet. The beds were comfy and I got a good night's sleep. The room was clean and relatively modern looking. However the shower head was surprisingly old and functioned oddly as it was significantly blocked due to calcium buildup. This seemed very counter intuitive given the exceptional cleanliness of the bathroom. Breakfast was a bit simple but at least they had one. It was basically egg sandwiches you could microwave. Worked for me but my son didn't care for it much.

This Comfort Inn has gone down terribly. Bed bugs in the room now. Basically Unclean. Floors not vacuumed. I hope the upper management sees this because a poor staff due to poor leadership will ruin your motel. I work with a lot of people that have stayed there and your going to lose a lot of business so please take notice and care a little bit. A great business starts with the people who manage it. If you don’t care how do expect staff to care.

Charge way to much for rooms at a subpar hotel. Tell you one price then charge your card more and tell you when you ask, well you didn't mention price at check in. Lol it shouldn't matter if you were told a price when you made reservation. Charged me 16,0000 points for first floor handicap room and i ended up on 2nd floor. Save your money and go to days inn across bridge or somewhere totally else

If you are looking for a clean room, then you better keep driving. The bed sheets looked clean, but that was the only thing. Carpet is dirty, not only in the room but the hallways as well. Headboard had marks and stains and was not cleaned. Desk had marks from previous occupant and had hand prints, drink marks ect. Dust on everything. Window and A/C was absolutely filthy! I stay all over the US over 300 nights a year and spent 16,000 points for this mess. I do see how they can maintain a Choice Hotel/Comfort Inn standard operating like this. Don’t waste your time or money on this place.

My Husband and I stayed in this hotel. When we checked in the front staff was very helpful. Unfortunately, when I woke my husband at 4:30am by turning on the light he had bugs on him and in the bed! My husband killed the bugs that were in the bed. Immediately, I went to deal with the front desk agent who was very helpful in contacting the manager. Unfortunately, the manager was defensive and unwilling to assist in a timely manner with the bed bug issue. We were promised a refund and then said that was not their policy!! Still waiting for a refund that will never come. We will NEVER STAY at another Comfort Inn EVER!!! We have informed the president of our company and informed all drivers in the company of this particular Comfort Inn Walcott Iowa location right off I-80.
