"Fine" for One Night
Reviewed 19 november, 2021
Last minute decision to enjoy the Wine & Oyster Crawl in the Northern Neck for an overnight, so we had to go with what was available. The Good: 1. Our room was one of the recently updated, with no carpeting (hurrah!) and a refreshed bathroom sink. The room was clean overall; some scruffiness here and there. 2. We were ground level with easy access to the outside (our dog was with us.) 3. All but the afternoon staff were quite friendly and professional; the woman on shift the afternoon we checked in seemed like she hated her job. 4. The WiFi was quite decent, better than we expected in this area. The Not-so-Good 1. Stop advertising "Free Breakfast" when all that is being offered is a mystery bag with yogurt, fruit and either a muffin/danish. What if the yogurt is a flavor one can not eat or does not like? It gets wasted. What if the fruit is one that can not be eaten (allergies) or isn't a favorite? It gets wasted. Ditto for the muffin or danish. I asked to look into a bag and was informed that I could not. So we passed on the "free breakfast." On this Sunday morning the only place open was McDonalds. :( 2. The $50 pet fee is simply an exorbitant money-grab. I totally understand that a pet can destroy a room, but so can humans. Place a substantial hold on my credit card instead, and charge me a lower pet rate.
Hotel Needs New Management

I have been staying at the hotel for many years. It was a nice reasonably budget hotel, but not anymore. 1) They now charge a $25 fee if you check-in before 3:00. 2) The Office Staff is rude and not helpful. The Direct TV remote is not programmed, I went to the front desk for help, I got attitude and the remote was not fixed. I had to use the buttons on the side of the TV. The facility is nice and they are upgrading by removing the carpets. They need new management now!
Ants in room and dirty
Reviewed 8 july, 2021
My wife and I reserved what was apparently the last room at the Quality Inn in Warsaw, VA for Saturday 7/3/21 (H3857299 Warsaw, VA). The room charge was $263 for the night. We’ve stayed at ocean front suites for less. We took it because we were meeting our son’s fiancées parents for the first time. We expected quite a bit more than what we got. We checked in and dropped off the luggage in the room and left. We had to meet everyone at their river house for dinner and to go boating for the fireworks display across the Chesapeake bay. When we returned it was late (around 10:30) that’s when we noticed the ants on the nightstands and other furnishings. We noticed food stuck to the granite backsplash near the sink. Also, there was some brown liquid splashed on the wall/electric plug in the bathroom. The furnishings were worn and stained. The ants had gotten into my wife’s makeup case, and we started killing them with our fingers. There were none in the bed or the tub, so we moved everything to the tub. Even though there were none in the bed it was difficult to sleep. The next morning when we checked out, we mentioned everything to the desk clerk, but she gave no indication that she cared. We didn’t even get a comment let alone an apology. I’ve worked with the public for over fifty years, that’s not how to treat customers if you want them to return. As far as that Quality Inn we will never use it again. Overall, we were very disappointed and unhappy with our stay. Cliff Dozier

We stayed here for one night on 10/3 in room 203. Apparently they were having trouble with their DirecTV service in most of the hotel for several days, but didn’t bother to tell us this when we checked in. We had TV for about an hour the whole time we were there. It kept shutting off. The front desk staff wasn’t helpful or apologetic. I asked if we were going to get a discount on the room rate as we would never have stayed there knowing the TV issue. We got a copy of of our checkout receipt showing an $11 discount. $11?? In addition, we found hair and an elastic hair band on the floor of our room. No breakfast options in the hotel even though they market “free breakfast” with the room rate. No staff at the front desk overnight which makes you feel really secure. Get it together Quality Inn. There are other hotel options one town over in Tappahannock. We will definitely be staying in Tappahannock the next time we are in town.
Peaceful Place to Say

I had the pleasure of staying at the worlds greatest Quality Inn for 3 nights. We were in town for a funeral. Everything was flawless from my check in completed by Amanda, my questions being answered by the GM Sharon, and my room being cleaned by Ms. Barbara. Everyone went the extra mile to make sure that all of our needs were met. I stayed in room 201 (which was a suite) and I was amazed at the size and comfort. My family and I will be visiting again soon and I hope to get this room again. My family really enjoyed the hot breakfast every morning. This Quality Inn is a great place to stay and I would recommend it to everyone.
