Fabulous time and roast
We have just visited The Woodside for Sunday lunch and had a delicious meal. I had the vegan roast and my husband had the beef, both were delicious. The service was friendly and nothing seemed to much. They were very welcoming and accommodating to our 2 young children. I highly recommend.
Afternoon tea
My daughters and I had a wonderful afternoon tea at this beautiful hotel. The staff were wonderful. They were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing. We had a brilliant selection of sandwiches and delicious cakes. I would reccomend this hotel and will definitely be visiting again. We felt totally safe in relation to covid restrictions.
Wedding Anniversary
Well what can I say other than absolutely fantastic. We were married here 2 years ago and decided to come back today for our anniversary. As I write this now the place is surprisingly busy, but adherence to the Covid guidelines is superb. Feel totally safe and their hygiene is awesome. Massive thank you to Kayleigh and Mark, they couldn’t do enough to make us welcome and felt at home from home. Anyone in any doubt about this place please pay them a visit. We will be back. In fact don’t want to leave. Thank you Woodside for all you have done ✅
Very nice, very clean, excellent service, food and pool. Rooms spotless but slightly disappointing.
Stayed for two nights with family (teenager and a six year old) just after hotel re-opened. Quite a large hotel but think there was only a handful of other guests. One way systems in place but were being ignored as there was no-one else about! Staff were very friendly and accommodating and were being very cautious and very thorough about handling anything that was then touched by us. We felt particularly safe and public areas and our rooms were spotlessly clean. We booked this hotel specifically because it had a pool and a gym and the booking system for both of these worked well but suspect it could be challenging when hotel ramps up bookings. The pool was warm and again spotlessly clean. Tbh its one of the best pools we’ve seen in a hotel at this price point. Breakfasts and food/drink were superb and we regret not using the restaurant more as the one evening meal we had was genuinely superb and reasonably priced. The grounds are advertised as a selling point for the hotel but had a slightly run down feel to them - but to be fair this was probably due to the hotel having been shut down for a while. Only real negative point was the rooms which were a little disappointing. We were allocated exactly what we asked for and and had King and Twin rooms with a through door (perfect for a family) in the “courtyard” which was very near the pool.. They were of generous size but quite basic. The King room had mould in the silicone round the bath/shower and the showers themselves were so bad as to be actually laughable - something other reviews have also mentioned. We found the beds a bit soft. What we absolutely couldn’t fault was the cleanliness of everything. The hotel has obviously put some serious effort in and deserves recognition for this in what must be an extremely challenging time for this industry. Would we come again if returning to the Warwick area. Yes.... I think we would. We paid £280 for two rooms for two nights - including breakfast - which for value considering the cleanliness, quality of the pool, service and food, outweighs the slightly basic rooms.
Lovely Peaceful Night Away
I was looking for a nice hotel to have a quiet night away, wanted something with a few amentities and resonably priced. Found the Woodside through a booking agent and it ticked all the boxes. Upon arrival it was clear the hotel was very quiet, which suited us. Check in a breeze, we were in a side building that housed the pool, steam room, etc. Room was fine, not a bad size, clean and well furnished. We spent the entirety of our stay on site using the facilities and had a great time. The staff were very friendly and helpful and all in all we had a really nice time. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and both times the service was spot on and food good. Recommended and I would go back in an instant.
