Our first room was not clean and still had another guest’s clothes in the drawers. This made us question the cleanliness of the room and hotel. Our second room’s refrigerator did not work. The “River View” was more like a sliver of the river if you put your head against the window and strain to see it; it was not worth the extra money.

Celebrating a good friend’s wedding celebration and most guests stayed at the Canopy. Great stay with fabulous views and a great rooftop bar! Great location to good restaurants and shops. Next time in DC we will definitely stay at the Canopy!

I would certainly recommend this property from my experience. Amazing views, cleanliness, and friendly staff all made it an enjoyable stay. Close walking distance to plenty of restaurants, as well as tourist attractions.
Showed Up for Check-in at 3, Got in at 7!

Bullets: -Showed up at 3pm, denied check-in until 7pm due to a “scheduling issue” so we waited around until nearly 7pm with our luggage until the room was ready. -Offered Food/bev credit but couldn’t use multiple vouchers and as I was only staying for one night and leaving early am, the extra vouchers did no good. -Traffic and parking were crazy. DC, crazy traffic and the parking garage was absolutely slammed so we ended up having to walk nearly 1/2 mile with luggage to check in only to be told we couldn’t check in on the agreed upon time. -No waters in the room. I know this may sound nit picky, but every Hilton I’ve ever stayed at puts waters in the room, whether for purchase or not, they’re there. As a diamond member I’ve come to expect and appreciate these touches and they simply weren’t there. Hilton is a great brand and I generally have great experiences, but this location left a bitter taste. I hope no one else experiences this kind of thing but I can tell you that on this particular day, I was one of many who did. It’s not acceptable and at the very least they should notify customers BEFORE arrival if there is going to be an issue of this sort. They have a messaging service built right into the mobile app, just give us the straight scoop so we can plan accordingly, ESPECIALLY in an area as crazy as DC.

Not sure if it’s because of the new normal or because this is an off-brand, this experience was not great. No room service. No water in room. Hair in my sheets. Hard towels. The wait staff was very nice!
