Capital Hilton a hidden gem

Service and staff are better than expected by Hilton. The location is phenomenal, two blocks away from the WH and restaurants within walking distance. This hotel has a nice bar catering to locals and hotel guests alike. The rooms are small but not unreasonable, a family of four sleeps comfortably.
We found two roaches in one of the bed and bed wasn’t comfortable. It was too hard. Also thermometer wasn’t working

We found and two roaches in one of the bed and bed wasn’t comfortable. Bed was too hard and thermometer wasn’t working properly. Room was cold when i put the temperature to 78. I don’t really appreciate that and very disappointed.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was exceptional! The breakfast was great and the bar was relaxing for a night cap.. this was my first stay at this Hilton location. Thank you Theresa Thomas for your help and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Extremely rude front desk staff member

There were no water bottles in my room. I went down to the front desk to get one, and said “Hi can I get a water bottle?” The staff member at the front desk said “Please”. I didn’t know what he meant and thought he didn’t hear me at first (it was loud in the lobby, next to the bar), so said “a water bottle”. He just repeated “please”. I asked him what he meant and he said, “it is common courtesy to say please”. He said this while holding the water bottle which I desperately needed as I was very thirsty. I felt like he was asserting some sort of weird dominance, like I has to say please to him in order to get the water bottle that I really needed. I responded, “actually it would be common courtesy to put water bottles in the rooms for your guests”. And he said, “are you a Hilton Honors member?”. And I said no, and he said “then no. We don’t do that for non-Hilton Honors members”. He gave me the water bottle finally and I left, feeling confused, attacked, and humiliated. I called corporate to complain and they said they emailed the manager who should follow up with me in a few days. No one has followed up, and I will not be staying with Hilton anymore.
Very nice stay in the city

Our stay was excellent. Definitely a 10. Mr Gonzalez checked us in last night and provided superior customer service. And this morning at breakfast we received equally good attention from Ms Nancy and had a very nice breakfast. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance to numerous sights and restaurants.
