More about the hotel
Great airport hotel
The staff was great and helpful. Fitness room is limited to one occupant at a time due to covid. They offer grab and go breakfast bags. The hotel shuttle is ideal transportation to and from the airport and runs every 30 minutes.
Close to SEA TAC airport
Room was clean and all the staff was amazing! The rooms were nicely sound-proofed as I couldn't hear the next door guests or traffic from outside. The only bizarre thing was that the lock on the bathroom door was reversed as in someone from the outside could actually lock someone in the bathroom! I was travelling alone and was frightened that I might accidentally lock myself in the bathroom-very strange indeed. But other than that, it was a nice place to stay.
Seattle was cold
The stay was nice. The front desk staff were very friendly and the cleaning staff were very thorough. They all did a great job. The only complaint would be the coffee was nasty. I would have expected better from a location that prides itself in coffee quality. I would recommend the Fairfield Inn for future stays.
Perfectly Balanced
First time I stayed at Fairfield Inn SEA-TAC. As other reviewers have mentioned - yes, there are "better" hotels in the area, and they are also much more expensive. Much more! So the first difference I noticed on my most recent trip to SEA-TAC, was the really swell rate. And yes, as others have mentioned, the hotel is going thru renovations. And that's GREAT! I personally was not inconvenienced at all by the work going on. Nor do I think anybody else was. The shuttle service to the airport, though I didn't use it, appeared excellent - there was a driver waiting at all hours it seemed, ready to go. So far as the room itself and the amenities, staff, etc, everything was perfectly balanced. The bathrooms are quite small, but no big deal. Bed was comfy, room was always kept cleaned, breakfast was always good, the front staff, and the cleaning staff, were very polite and friendly. There is a printer right by the check-in counter, and that's convenient. Perhaps the biggest thing that struck me is that the windows can slide open! I don't like being cooped up and no access to fresh air from outside. I think that once renovations are completed, Fairfield may very well be the choice of business travelers and those in transit to Puget Sound transportation.
Good, reliable stay
Everything worked as advertised: a 15 minute shuttle pickup at SeaTac, smooth check-in and check-out as we spent about 10 hours at this 4 story hotel. We were in room 303 and as with all Fairfield Inns there were the usual standard amenities: 2 queen beds, mini fridge, microwave, small closet, big flat screen TV, desk and chair, free wifi, toilet and shower in one room. The one oddity: the sink was located to the left as you opened the front door to the room completely outside the bathroom. We found the hotel new looking, clean, within walking distance of a number of restaurants, helpful staff, plenty of USB and standard charging ports in the room. Four sets of towels also. There were 3 wall hooks that let me hang clothes easily. All in all an enjoyable, but brief, stay.
