A blessed traveler's hotel

We were 4 friends in the family suite, which was two rooms separated by a sliding door. We were pleasantly surprised by an additional bathroom. Our suite was fine, showers were good. Front desk crew and cleaning crew were pleasant and helpful. Harry's restaurant neon signs at the hotel's corner were warm and welcoming through the night, and were easy to spot upon a short walk from the Metro Center.
Small and cozy room

This place is in an old building and in a perfect location in town. Close to everything you want to see. I picked a 2 twin bed room and it was perfect for my son and I. It was so small and cute. It had an old box tv instead of the new flat screen TVs that everyone is used to nowadays but it worked for watching the Houston Astros win their game last night again Atlanta. I would definitely recommend this place.

Yes, this hotel is old. Opened in 1914 and has a few wrinkles (in the wall paper). But it was just what we wanted. Someplace that was a decent price for D.C., walking distance to the mall, clean, polite and helpful staff. Our room was two rooms, one a small sitting area with TV and mini-fridge with a desk. the other room was the bedroom. Down stairs was a wonderful gift store with great prices. There were two restaurants, One on each side of the hotel. The parking was a few blocks away and only $24 a day. MAKE sure you check the hours it is open. Just in case you want to leave early. There is also a hallway that has pictures of all the presidents that were in office while the hotel was in service. Lots of history and pictures. We really enjoyed our stay.

This was a lovely historic hotel in a fantastic location in Washington DC. The hotel room was nicely furnished, comfortable and quiet. The hotel and room were very clean. The hotel is centrally located between the Capitol Building and the White House. It was within easy walking distance for me to many sights. There were great restaurants nearby. It was convenient to the Metro. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe. I would stay here again.
For our needs, terrific

We had tickets to a show at the Warner Theater in DC and rather than drive an hour plus home after the show we decided to spend the night and drive home the next day. It's no big surprise that hotels in DC are very expensive, so we were happy to find a very reasonable room at the Hotel Harrington. Certainly a LOT cheaper than at the Trump International just down the block ;-). Plus, the Warner Theatre is an easy, short walk away. All we needed was a decent bed and bathroom, no special amenities and we got what we needed. Now, this hotel is very old and it shows. It's obvious that the woodwork has been painted over many times, but who cares? If you're looking for super modern, with gym, pool, sauna, hot tub, room service, be prepared to pay a LOT. Personally, I don't want to spend my time in the hotel when I travel. A place to sleep and wash up is all I really need and we got these at the Hotel Harrington
