Hotel which doesn't exist

Disappointed that hotels.com allowed this on their site. Booked 1 room last minute online for a colleague. Receive a confirmation email that alll was paid in full and post code and address given. My colleague arrive at said address only to find that there is no hotel. A shifty sounding lady answered the phone when he called the number given ( mobile no ) and demanded a £75 damage deposit and £35 cleaning fee before she would give him the address. The address apparently will be a room in someone's house ( air bnb style) which could be anywhere. I'd rather give my card details to the gentleman who emailed saying I'd inherited £100 million 🤔 Bottom line. This stinks of a scam or at beat a sneaky way of overpaying for a grotty bedroom in someone's house. Avoid at all costs

Unbedingt ein anderes Hotel wählen!!!! Nur Stress beim an und abreise. Siehe google bewertungen. Keinerlei Infos vom Hotel. Auch telefonisch ist keiner erreichbar. Ich vermute die machen ihr geld mit Storno gebühren.
