It said continental breakfast there was none The people up above us were fighting she's crying for him to stop hitting her!The phone in the room didn't work o had to call on mine to get help for her. The price i paid o could of stayed a night at a 5 star hotel never again!
Navy Graduation
This is a basic hotel, it is clean and feels safe, but it's not frills. It is definitely a good value for your money. They did a great job running the shuttle service to and from the Navy base. Dre at the front desk was gracious and polite and very helpful with tips on where to go and how to get around. My friend and I were charmed by him. The manager is also very kind (he congratulated me and asked how the ceremony went, which let me know he is paying attention to what is happening in his hotel, I didn't tell him why I was there.) He is very visible in his hotel and walks around and you can tell that he is paying attention to his guests' comfort and safety. At the same time he is very friendly and personable. The water pressure isn't good, the rooms are clean even if they could use some new bedspreads. I felt safe and well taken care of. It is a budget hotel, but I felt it was right on target with the price. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have 24 hour coffee available, most of the navy parents are leaving and coming in at all hours due to the schedules and flights, and I didn't get desperately- needed coffee either morning that I was there.
Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable
I had read some of the reviews and almost canceled my stay, but I'm glad I didn't. The hotel definitely isn't fancy, but if you're just looking for a place to sleep and shower, it fits the bill. There isn't a ton of seating, just two hard wood chairs. They look really cool and are sturdy, but if you're planning on just staying in the room all day, they might not work for that. There is a desk with open spaces instead of drawers. There are no drawers in the whole room, but I honestly didn't miss them. The room was a bit stuffy when I entered because the air wasn't on (it hadn't gotten very warm the day I checked in, so it made sense that it wouldn't be running- I know motel 6 tries to be environmentally friendly), but once I got it running, the room was comfortable. The bed was nice, not too hard. The fridge kept my drinks nice and cool. The shower pressure was a little low, but again, I get this with the environmentally friendly push. Everything was clean. Just a heads up- they provide soap in the room but not shampoo, so you'll want to bring your own hair products (or buy some at the nearby Walgreens). I will say that when the hallway was noisy, I could hear it in the room when the fan from the air conditioner wasn't going, but I just set it to constantly run and had no issues with noise while sleeping. I honestly love that the room isn't carpeted ; it seemed odd at first since most hotels are carpeted, but it just made it feel cleaner. Only complaint I have is that the remote for the TV would apply the button I hit multiple times- if I clicked 4, it typed in 444 instead. If I hit up for the volume or channel, it would go up anywhere from 2-4. It was a little annoying, but nothing I couldn't live with and work around.
Has not changed
Well from the reviews, this place hadn't changed since we stayed there in 2012 , our room then had a clogged toilet, dingy sheets and the room stunk like dirty feet. Housekeeping does not clean the room we had the same towels for the entire week! We told management about the toilet, on day one by day two i went and asked for a plunger so i could unclog it myself. Filthy nasty place! Don't stay here! Have not been back but had to do a date to write review and hope others heed this warning!!!
Drug filled rooms with uncaring staff.
This was by far the dirtiest, most uncaring hotel I have ever stayed at. There were smudges and "ick" all over the room. The light covers and counter top looked as though they had NEVER been wiped down. After taking pictures, I cleaned them myself. Upon turning on the heater, something blew out at me. My boyfriend identified the "something" as Crack. There was also a drug baggie and other used drug items stashed in the vent of the heater. He took them to the front desk and asked to speak with the manager. The man at the desk told us "it happens" and said the manager was not in. We asked to be called by the manager when he/she came in. That call never came. Every night, you could get a contact buzz simply by walking down the hall. The smell of Weed/Pot resonating from the rooms was sickening. I also asked to have my towels changed out. I was told they will only change them out after 3 PM. No one came back with clean towels. The room keys were deactivated twice during our 3 night stay. It was quite a pain having to go back to the desk to get the keys re-activated. I booked the room at this location because of the shuttle to Great Lakes (Navy base) and the discount that I was supposed to get for being there for PIR Graduation. I was NOT given the discount when I asked for it. The man at the counter spoke very broken english, and even though I told him I was there for the Navy, and ASKED for the discount, he said "One night was discounted." That night was a Thursday night, and is a cheaper rate. It was NOT a Navy discount. We had other family members staying in another room down the hall, they received a discount of around $50 for the three nights. I will NEVER stay here again, or at another Motel 6 for that fact. This hotel has ruined the name "Motel 6" in my book forever. Highly disappointing.
