Good for what it is

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. Basic donga accomodation bit was clean and beds comfortable. I would recommend taking another pillow as there was only one but air conditioning and hot water and fridge, serves the purpose

Great staff, great stuff

Had to stay here for a week for work and was very dubious about a 2 star. Yes it is donga accommodation, yes it is a little out of town but the service and availability is unequalled. Would stay here again. Not with the family but for work, no hesitation

Nice well priced Thai in a pleasant atmosphere.. Very large servings. Tranqual by the pool. One of the very reliable places to eat in Weipa. Easily accessed being right next door to the main shopping centre.

No place like home!

I have stayed at The Anchorage on a number of occasions, my longest stint being for two months. I stayed in the double ensuite room, which was very spacious and clean. Stretch and Gee, the hosts of The Anchorage are beyond fantastic and in my own personal experience have gone above and beyond to make sure that my partner and I were comfortable. The rooms are very clean, staff extremely friendly and very affordable accommodation. I would highly recommend staying at The Anchorage to men, women and children, in fact, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Weipa. You are able to purchase delicious food from the office, as well as, alcohol, for a very reasonable price. I have thoroughly enjoyed every single time that I have stayed and will be going to reside there again in the very near future.

Home sweet Home

Have stayed here on numerous occasions over the last couple yrs and have to say its like coming home everytime. Its comfortable relaxing and run by a couple who are there to help with what ever u need. Would recommend The Anchorage to everyone from staying there by urself or in our case with a working crew of 7. Thanks for the hospitality guys hopefully be back soon
