It was okay…

North One Bedroom was well appointed with coffee machine, 2 heaters but no spare blankets. Washer and dryer was available, along with a dishwasher etc. It’s not really a one bedroom though, glass doors seperate the living bedroom area but they don’t facilitate full privacy or soundproofing. Had a small balcony with a view of the church opposite. Noise from other rooms was minimal. Some noise overnight from the street life, but this was muffled when the windows were closed. Room was clean but the fittings showed some wear. There was a floor drain in the middle of the living area which had become loose and presented a cut hazard to our feet. Daily housekeeping and a top up of consumables is an additional cost starting at $23 (See the attached photo). 2 coffee pods for a few days stay is not cool. Very centrally located. Parking is available at $29 per night. A small dairy is available downstairs and Courtney Place is close for buses. Front desk are friendly and helpful, and are happy to hold onto a bag for few hours. May stay again but not at the top of my list.
Good base to stay

Good place to stay. Clean and Tidy. Friendly staff. Good if staying longer as full kitchen and laundry. Bit of a pain to go from one building to another for Luddite and carpark. Parking costs on high side for that end of town. Would stay again..
Not 5 star

Great location & good parking, but the room was not even close to 5 star and it is pretty bad that they advertise as such. (more 3.5 - 4 star). We had a 2 bedroom suite with bathroom and en-suite in the main room. Both showers had blocked drains meaning the base fulled with water while showering, and even something as simple as a soap dish in the showers wasn't there. The room itself felt dirty, light swtiches etc needed a good clean, dust on all the skirtings, kitchen smelled like old indian food. Given they are making a big deal regarding Covid on check-in, and NOT servicing the rooms on a daily basis due to "covid" you would think the rooms would be spotless on check-in. Dishwasher was missing parts, fans in bathrooms didn't work, heaters supplied looked really old, NO aircon (in a 5 star premises?!). This was a last minute booking for 2 nights as our plans changed, but would not recommend and certainly not stay again.
Good CBD location

Great location for Lambton Harbour, Te Papa etc. Friendly staff and good sleep quality in our apartment which was on the 5th floor. Certainly Not 5 star as advertised more like 4 star accommodation, due to a things like door missing off of bedroom closet, loose floor drain cover in kitchen area (that we had to put a cushion over to avoid stubbing a toe at night) and some consumable items not being replaced on a daily basis in kitchen or bathroom. Also could not get oven to work at all so we just used the hob and convection microwave instead. We would have reported this to desk but only discovered problem on penultimate evenings stay.Good air con/heating in room. Nice old looking church next door amongst all the high rise city sprawl. Would definitely stay again though as generally quite good.
Not 5 star accommodation but great location

Stayed in a 2 bedroom executive townhouse which was comfortable enough. Everything clean, tidy and modern but certainly not 5 star luxury. Kitchen was well equipped. Bedroom furniture looking tired and no coat hangers in the wardrobes. Bathrooms small but functional, and basic in style. Staff were friendly but not attentive and lacking in the service you’d expect from a 5 star hotel - such as assisting with bags, timely housekeeping and keeping the common areas clean. There was also nowhere to pull in to the reception area in which to easily and safely drop off or pick up, which was tricky given we had a number of bags to manage and two young children. In saying all that, the location was exceptional and it was good value for money. It definitely suited us as a base from which to explore Wellington.
