Could be better....but let’s blame COVID.. I guess.
This property has a lot of potential. A very cool vibe, but due to CoVID the bar and restaurant are shut down and the pool table in the lobby is off limits. (My son was bummed) . Im sure there are more germs on the elevator buttons than that pool table. Also the snack pantry is completely empty, nothing. You can’t blame COVID for everything. You can offer snacks and drinks even if behind a counter for sale. Also, the gym can only be opened by front staff due to CoVID, yet there are no cleaning supplies inside to wipe down equipment when done, that makes no sense. The pool is only open by appointment only. Other than all of these senseless inconveniences the place smells like marijuana, but that has to do with the cheaper rate and the clientele that attracts I have to assume. Smh. We are in town for a week visiting family and I wouldn’t stay here again unless they improve on the little things. Disappointed Marietta Rewards member.
Great Getaway
Escaped with the hubby for a night. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The front desk staff was helpful & courteous. The bed & pillows - oh so amazing! Conveniently located near restaurants. We will return.
Do not stay here
I am a loyal Marriott customer. I typically do not stay in a non-Marriott hotel. Unfortunately, when I stayed here I was ill with a gastroenteritis. I was able to clean the bathroom as much as I could, however, without any kind of contact from the hotel manager or any staff I was charged a $250 cleaning fee. The charge appeared on my credit card three days later. I find this absurd. I will certainly never come back here and likely will never stay in Aloft anywhere else.
Dont stay here!
New hotel, but their systems are HORRIBLE. I was double charged for a stay and the manager kept arguing with me saying it was because I arrived after 12 AM on the day I was supposed to check in, when in fact I was at the hotel by 8 PM. Irrespective of the time I arrived, their systems should have been capable of handling it. Getting a refund was a nightmare, they kept telling me to wait for a week or 2 (I waited 6 Weeks!!)! I finally managed to get a refund by calling my credit card provider and disputing the charge. I am a Bonvoy platinum member and this was the shoddy level of service I got... I am in Cinci twice a month, but I am NEVER going back!! I will stick to the Marriott which is across the street.. Also there was no hot water on my first 2 days of stay which they said was because there were too many guests (WTH!!)
Comfortable Stay
I booked a suite to have enough space to relax over a long, holiday weekend filled with celebrations for a new family member. The space assigned was the largest one on the floor at about the same cost as a regular room because this property is usually occupied for business travelers. At check-in the desk agent confirmed the room was ready before sending us upstairs and offered complimentary beverages while we waited. The housekeeping staff verified the room was cleaned to my satisfaction the next day. Although the suite was sparsely furnished in keeping with the chain's design elements, it was an extremely comfortable space. It was also close to the restaurant our group used for Sunday brunch and easy for an old friend to find to stop by for a quick visit. I would certainly use this hotel the next time I return to Cincinnati.
