Do NOT believe your confirmation

On the night before our arrival, I called to make reservations for a King, non-smoking, pet friendly room. I called, instead of booking online, because the website said to check in advance for pet friendly rooms. When I called I talked to a very nice lady and because I am a rewards member, they confirmed my information and updated my credit card to assure everything was correct. I then received a confirmation via email for a King room. (confirmation does not show "pet friendly" anywhere)
I arrived at the location about 3:45 pm and was told they did NOT have my requested room. I showed the lady at the front desk my confirmation and explained my phone call the day before. She called her manager. Then turned to me and said, "We are so sorry, but there is nothing we can do except give you a double queen, non-smoking, pet friendly room and it will be at a higher price than your confirmation."
WHAT? That is your customer service for a rewards member?
I went to my car and called several hotels in the surrounding area, but nothing was available that I would consider staying. After about an hour of checking, I went back in and asked if there wasn't "something they could do?" I was told "No."
So I said, "I surrender. You win. Give me the double queen."
I am still aghast at the lack of care from this establishment. I am recently retired and have started to travel a lot. Trust me, in the future this will always influence my decision of which hotel chain I will call to make my reservations.
Not very nice and HORRIBLE customer service!

This hotel USED to be top notch, back when it was a Best Western. But now, as the Quality Inn, the people working the desk are inconsiderate and very rude! I attempted to book a jacuzzi room for myself and my girlfriend (who suffers from fibromyalgia and more) so she could relax and soak since she could not get in to see her chiropractor that day. My mother was also going to come visit and use the jacuzzi. She has a heart problem and was going in for cataract surgery the next morning. She was not going to stay, just to visit for an hour or so. When I told the front desk, the guy went into his "we do not allow visitors due to covid" speech. WE ARE ALL FULLY VACCINATED! Of course, that did not matter at all. He then said that if we got the room and then took a visitor in, that we would be evicted from our room without refund! I was wearing a mask, though I am not required after vaccination. He WAS NOT wearing a mask at all! I won't give them a dime! Not now. Not in the future. And you can be sure that I will not recommend anyone stay there. In fact, if I can steer away any future business from them, I will!

Is this really a Quality Inn?!? Because it does NOT even compare to the others I've stayed in, and recently. This is better than higher rated hotels and higher priced hotels. The lobby is wonderful, the pool is great, and it has a nice elevator. The desk clerk saw my request and accommodated. It was an excellent stay. The only issue is that the street noise did prevent sleep. Everything else was wonderful. The room was large and fixtures were updated. I would DEFINITELY stay again but I'd have to be on the backside away from the street. My 8yo son was even impressed enough, noticing the differences with other less-Quality Inns, to tell the staff this hotel was great.
Very Attractive Property

The decor is up-to-date and everything is squeaky clean. The staff was friendly. Bedding was nice. They furnished us with grab-and-go breakfast because of Covid, but it was adequate. They're following all the Covid rules so we felt pretty safe.

We stayed here for one night while passing through the area as it was a good stopping point on our way to Memphis. Sadly, we were disappointed by our stay.
Upon arrival just after 7:00 pm, we noticed that the lobby was dark and most of the lights were turned off. We didn't see any signs requiring face masks or social distancing and only one staff member we encountered (out of five) wore a mask during our visit. Caution tape blocked off the breakfast area. If an alternative breakfast option was available, we weren't told about it.
Rooms are updated and comfortable however, housekeeping efforts seem to be lacking. One of our pillowcases had an odd purple stain on it and the top blanket had several black stains. The front desk was able to give us clean pillowcases and then we discovered another stain on the comforter later when we were getting ready for bed.
Bottom line, the hotel itself is in good shape and is easy to access however, cleanliness and Covid-19 protocols are lacking which will likely lead us to look for another option the next time we're in the area.
