convenient to Yellowstone; BUSY place; not doing enough about COVID safety

Our stay at Gray Wolf was generally uneventful. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet enough, despite some hallway/neighbor noise during what turned out to be a very busy stay. This hotel is very convenient to Yellowstone National Park, and that is probably the single best reason for staying here. The one down side for our stay other than the busy-ness of the place was the lack of all necessary COVID safety precautions being taken. Although some of the hotel's staff wore masks, many did not. Zero effort was being made to make sure that guests did the right thing by masking up, social distancing, and the like.

Nice, clean hotel. You can’t get any closer to the West entrance of Yellowstone. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Room was spacious, quiet and the bed was comfortable. Only complaint would be check in time is questionable. Went on the website and it said check in is at 15:00 (that’s 3:00 pm right?). But when we went at about 2:50 in the afternoon we were told check in is at 4:00. Okay, but you need to fix your website. Also, they said they would call us as soon as our room was ready. Never got a call. Not a big deal, just annoying.
Loved this hotel!!

Very nice and clean hotel next to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center! Enjoyed our stay, staff very friendly and helpful. The town is great, gives you that step back in time feel. My husband swears he heard the wolves howling outside the hotel when he walked in, I was very jealous! Very close to the West gate of Yellowstone and only a few minutes drive to Idaho state line. Great location and place to stay!
it was fine for our needs

Check in was very quick and easy. Staff was pleasant. We were given the room i had requested The room appeared to be clean The bed was comfortable the room had decent lighting The air conditioner worked well The hotel had a nice pool and hot tub they also had a nice gym sleep quality was good Breakfast was so so. LOTS of carbs- granola bars, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. no eggs or anything. The hotel was pricey, but this is a tourist town so it was in line with other places the location is convenient if visiting Yellowstone National park.

We pulled in last Friday without a reservation and asked availability. 2 rooms left, so that means they can charge a fortune. Being very tired, we booked the King Suite for $400. This hotel is in a good location, however very dated. The windows were dirty and would not open and the furniture very old and the couch smelled like dirt. They used room deodorizer to try and cover the odors, which made it worse. I literally slept with a mask, so that I could breath. This was day 10 of a driving vacation and this was the only bad stay. Look at your room before booking.
