Business meeting in Wettringen required an overnight stay - recommendation from the company I was visiting was the Hotel zur Post. We were made very welcome and the rooms were nicely equipped. Good bar/restaurant and the hospitality was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Nice buffet breakfast to start your day - staff spoke good English. Limited parking but we found a space on the road side close to the hotel.

Hotel Zur Post is a nice hotel situated more or less in the centre of the town. We had a room in the newer part of the hotel to the back of the street and this is preferable. Parking is easy at the back of the hotel on a public parking area. The hotel has a nice little bar and a cozy restaurant.

I have stayed in Zur Post several times sinece 2010. There are two types of rooms. The cheapest ones are clearly old and small, with a style which is normally very tipical in this kind of German small or familiar hotels. The nicest rooms which just cost a bit more, offer a excelent relation cost/quality, since they are bigger, made in a new building of the hotel, better furnitured, and with more confort. Most of them also have a small balcony, besides the electrical shades. The breakfast is ok, with everithing you would need for a start of the day, from ham, to a small selection of cheese, yogurt, cerials and fruits. Fresh and a good variaty of bread with seeds or not are also present. Eges in different stiles are also available or you can ask as the personal will prepar it without any extra charge on your bill. The restaurant is also a good choice, since it is a mixture of a bar restaurant you will find always local people which came to the almost only bar of the town to take a beer. The atmosfere is in any case cosy and confortable. Nice food and very generouse served selection of meat and vegetable with a excelent taste and presentation. Go with time as the service relaxed. I recommend to visit it.

Gestern waren wir zu Gast im Glashaus des Restaurants „Zur Post“. Es ist eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre dort und wir wurden vom Personal sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Essen war sehr reichhaltig und schmeckte ausgezeichnet, angefangen vom Salat Neptun bis hin zum Steak. Natürlich gab es auch ein reichhaltiges Angebot mit Spargel in den verschiedensten Variationen. Das Haus führt ein vielfältiges Programm. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

Das Haus verfügt über sehr schöne, helle und erst vor kurzem renovierte Zimmer. Die Zimmer nach hinte, zum großen Parkplatz sind Nachts absolut ruhig. Gute Betten und moderne Bäder. Das Restaurant verfügt über mehrere Räume, von urig bis modern. Besonders schön ist das Glashaus. Die Küche ist bodenstänig, aber wirklich lecker. Die Portionen sind riesig! Nur das Frühstück könnte etwas besser sein! Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Preis - Leistung passt! Gerne wieder.
