If you're looking for a great deal on skiing, Hibernation House is for you! We purchased a package that included both lodging and ski tickets. The Hibernation House is fairly close to a trail that takes you directly to the Base Lift. There is also a trail that ends directly at the back door. It's a bit of a hike to rent your equipment, but not too bad. Everyone there is extremely sweet and welcoming. Just ask for the hot chocolate, and they'll serve up a warm mug to you! The breakfast is good! Apparently they don't have the buffet during covid, but the food is still tasty and filling. I eat pretty healthy, so I chose to bring some of my own food for the mornings with French Toast and Sausage :) There is a menu for the week available at the front, and I'm sure they could tell you beforehand over the phone. There is a refrigerator in the room, shampoo, soap, etc. It was a bit loud, but that's to be expected anywhere. The shower is small but adequate, and there is a hot tub in the facility. We would highly recommend it!

First time staying. It's a great camping lodge. It was clean and private. There is a community room. It was comfortable and good night's stay. The staff was very friendly. The view driving up the hill was marvelous!

This is a ski resort and we visited in August .First impressions of lobby not an indication of our stay .Room is set up for skiers and very functional. Home made breakfast , made by the manager and his wife is a good experience .
Not such a pleasant welcome

We had been recommended here by a friend who is a regular guest. I read the reviews before our visit and although this lodge is basic the standout comments were about the good service and friendly staff. We were so disappointed with our welcome. No friendly chat or smile. We asked where we could eat hoping to be able to go to Hell Roaring pub and we were told it shut at 8, it was just past 8. She said that there was no where to eat on the hill and we would have to drive into town. We were really disappointed that we had booked. Luckily we didn’t take her at her word and we decided to check it out for ourselves. We found that the Kandahar lodge next door had fine dining (Open) and bar food in their Snug bar (Open). We enjoyed our bar food there and didn’t need to go into town. Such a poor welcome with very ill informed information! Otherwise we had a good stay. Basic room, comfortable bed, nice thick towels and a lovely breakfast with good service. The benefit of ski in ski out will probably bring us back in the winter.
