The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is a true ski lodge. Great location for skiing. I stayed here only because of availability. Although, the free SNOW bus runs from Whitefish to this lodge during the day, it is not easy to get to and fro. Uber and Lyft were not an option, and the hotel does not offer a shuttle to whitefish or the airport. The restaurant is well-known and very good. Expect to pay $65 per person for a 4+ course meal not including your drinks. The Snug Bar is just that,... Very snug. It's a 14' X 7' room with a bar and 2 high-top tables. The food is good from Snug bar and you can eat in the lobby. Set your expectations low for the complimentary breakfast. It's all take-out pre-packaged snacks, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee, OJ, milk. Not sure if this is temporary. There aren't many other meal options on the top of Big Mountain.

This place was great. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Giant hot tub which was nice to relax in. While this isn't a lodge in Glacier Park, it is doable to drive to the west entrance from here. We were here in the summer so we liked the location to town and summer activities on the mountain. Free continental breakfast which was great.
Nice time here in Whitefish

My family and I had a great time here at Kandahar Lodge. The drive leading up the mountain was breathtaking and once we arrived, the atmosphere and staff were nothing but inviting. The hotel is very cozy and definitely gives you the quaint lodge feel. The food and Huckleberry lemonades were great. If I were asked to be one hundred percent transparent I would agree with another reviewer in saying that for people with mobility challenges, this could be a difficult hotel to reside at. There are only a few parking spots directly next to the lodge, and the remainder of the parking area is down a small hill across the street. Also, there are no elevators which means you will be carrying all your luggage up and down multiple flights of steps. Our room had a loft with two queen beds, in which the stairs leading up to it were extremely narrow. I'm a large guy and had to turn somewhat sideways to go up and down. We had a great time and I think we would stay here again. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We might just pack a little less.
Nice lodge but not user friendly for elderly or people with mobility issues

The lodge was nice but we were put on the third floor and there was no elevator with all the luggage and some slower mobility issues so that wasn’t enjoyable. Room was lovely if u were staying in the king bed but anyone staying in the loft had steep stairs to climb. Again, not easy for those with mobility issues. The breakfast was pitiful for the cost of the hotel. Even a Hoiday Inn Express we stayed in had a much better breakfast. I will give the lady at the front desk a 10 star because she brought us some toiletries we forgot plus extra towels very quickly. The bedding was awesome and super comfy. While the lodge is gorgeous, I wouldn’t stay here again unless I had the first floor and the breakfast was better!

Great customer service in a beautiful setting but note with that view comes a drive into Whitefish. Rooms and beds comfortable, but furniture throughout lodge is tired. Some of the equipment in the Exercise room could use updating. Flow of the lodge is awkward with ole ty of stairs.
