On the whole, it was an ok stay. Within expectations given the affordable rate. Check-in/out process was a little slow, but attributable to it being the person’s first day on the job. However, our request for a quiet room away from the elevator (as we were traveling with our dog) which was made at the point of booking was not accommodated. The room itself was decent. Sufficiently clean but very dated. Bedroom and shower felt cleaner than the kitchen. There was a slight issue with the water, which stopped for a while and ran blackish when it came back. Internet speed was grievously intermittent and slow. It’s a dog-friendly hotel and there were adequate grassy relief patches surrounding the motel. It would have been nice if bags were made easily available to pick up the poop. Breakfast was basic - toast/bagels/muffins, biscuits and gravy (cold and gummy, unfortunately), and a waffle machine.

No Luggage Carts!

I was very disappointed by this hotel. They said there were luggage carts,but none were in evidence when I arrived, or when I left. The front desk people were kind enough to help me carry my things in, but there was no help to take it back out. As to the room; the wash cloths smelled nasty, so I did not use them. The room temperature was fine, but it felt clammy. As to the breakfast, it was standard fare; scrambled eggs, sausage patties, waffles. I was disappointed there was no water to drink. The front desk lady offered me bottled water; but I would have to pay for that!

The room and linens clean, although the stairwells are in need of attention. The guest suites are outdated but excellent pricing of two bedroom suite. It suited our family’s needs for a midpoint overnight on our trip.

This was the second time my wife and I stayed at the Baymont. We stayed here a couple of years ago and had a great experience. Our oldest daughter got married earlier in July and we decided to book a 2 bedroom suite, for our 11 day stay. We booked through a third party vendor and they messed up our reservation (NOT the hotel’s fault). Luckily, the front desk worker, Shiree (unsure about spelling, I apologize), was AMAZING and she helped us contact the vendor and figure out a different option, since they were fully booked. The reason why I’m rating it a 3/5 is because the hotel has definitely gone downhill since our last stay. The room we stayed in smelled bad and walking around barefoot on the carpet left my feet super dirty, the pool was always hazy, and they were almost always out of pool towels. This hotel has so much potential. I really hope they fix it up a bit, we would love to be able to go back!

Much better than I expected

We stayed in a kitchen suite. It was pretty nice. Seemed clean. We had our dog with us. Not sure what they charged for a pet fee as when I requested a receipt on check out there was no price on it. I am kinda worried. Our dog did not disturb anything or mess anything that a vacuum can't fix...he sheds.
