More about the hotel
Convenient
I chose this hotel because they allow pets to stay at no extra charge without discrimination to their size. I was pleased that my room was clean, the staff was extremely friendly, and there was a continental breakfast ready each day of my stay. There is free coffee and water in the lobby all day. There are soda, snack and ice machines located on each floor. My air conditioner worked well, the coffee machine worked, and my room was conveniently located next to the dog-walk area. The pool was cold and the hot tub was hot. Both were clean. Tyrone, a staff member, went above and beyond for me to even kill a massive spider that moved into my room at some point. This hotel doesn’t get a ton of business but it should.
A terrible experience
A terrible experience. Door keys wouldn't work and had to be re-keyed several times. AC was set to 61 degrees when we entered the room. Toilet over flooded & forced to move to different room - both the first one and the one we were moved to. Room phone did not work. Kept getting bumped off the internet. Horrible food for breakfast. Room door had to be slammed shut to lock. Staff seemed indifferent. Flood light shined into room & couldn't adequately block even with curtain closed. I will never stay here again and recommend to everyone to avoid Clarion.
Location a bit odd, but worth figuring it out
King Suite was very large. Breakfast was good. Does have pool and spa that we missed when reading about the hotel, so did not have swimsuits with us. Entrance is really off Hoover St, as Kellogg is an expressway where hotel is located. Use the "U turn" to go back.
Not Bad
I got the room because my wife wanted a break from our young children. I paid for 2 nights. The room was good. I have no complaints about it. The TV remote did not work when we got there. I called the front desk and we had a new remote in about 2 minutes. The bed was good enough for me. It was too stiff for my wife's back. I was annoyed by the flags. They had the Old Glory, Kansas, and Wichita flags. They were in that order and all at the same height. I told the front desk proper flag placement and height. The gentleman seemed receptive. I did not wait to see if they fixed it.
Old, tired, dirty, poorly maintained
Stayed Jan 16, last minute reservation. Dissapointed (took room based on reviews). The carpet had not been vacuum (much less cleaned recently), sink did not drain properly, and facility was generally "old-and tired."
