Nice small quiet hotel on the Rhine River!
Opinión escrita el 20 de septiembre de 2019
We stayed for 2 nights prior to a Rhine River Cruise, and were pleased with our small accommodation! We were 3, and the room, though very tiny, was very adequate. It was clean, quiet, and very adequate. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast (extra cost) was very nice! Our room was actually 2 rooms (no doors) and offered a little privacy between the double bed and the single bed. We did find out that most of the eating places around the hotel only take cash, so be sure you have Euros if you want to eat! The Schloss and its adjoining park was very beautiful, and worth the walk around it! Wifi was faster than I expected!!

Customer service? Doesn't exist here.
Opinión escrita el 9 de decembre de 2017
Achtung travelers: simple requests here are greeted by eye-rolls and loud, exasperated sighs. Funny if you are watching a comedy unfold on the big screen. But not so funny when you are having trouble with a key and ask for help at the front desk from a brusque, pony-tailed male with the personality of a ponytail. Also not so funny to watch this same employee dismiss a senior couple who had the gall to ask for coffee. "We're closed," he curtly said, never looking up from his own cup of coffee. Really? How about a courteous response for paying guests? Maybe even a suggestion for a nearby cafe? By the way: No coffee available after 8 pm in a hotel/cafe? This same couple also asked three days in a row for a working phone in their room to no avail. Want another example of the dismissive attitude here? We left at 645 am to catch a flight in Frankfurt. Since nobody was at the front desk and there were no signs of a drop box, we climbed three flights of stairs to leave our key in our room. Yep--in addition to employee rudeness, there is no elevator or facilities for the handicapped at this outdated hotel. Hotel parking claims are exaggerated as well. Anyways, just as we neared the exit, we spotted an employee who responded to us with a grim expression. After a few seconds of stewed silence, he angrily sighed and bolted off. My guess is that he was upset at the prospect of climbing to the third floor. I have lived in Germany three times and visited Wiesbaden dozens of times. Without a doubt, the Hotel & Cafe AM Schloss Biebrich provided the worst "service" I have experienced ANYWHERE. Their version of service is a disservice to the hotel industry.

Great location
Opinión escrita el 13 de junio de 2017
Warm welcome with plenty of information on where to go in the evening which was great. The hotel is perfectly located across the road from the Rhine and very close to Biebrich Schloss. The room had everything we needed but would have benefitted from air conditioning as it was over 30 degrees when we stayed. We had a room with a view of the river, it that meant we got all the traffic noise and that from the passerbys. Good choice for breakfast.

Convenient stay
Opinión escrita el 17 de enero de 2017
I booked in for the Ibis Budget first but after realising that I have to check in at a computer in the freaking cold hallway, I simply cancelled my booking and booked in for the Am Schloss Biebrich Hotel which was the best decision. It's a bit more pricy than Ibis but it was worth it. I had a double with ensuite including fresh linen and towels. The hotel is clean, the staff friendly, free wifi available, public parking on street, which is not handy when you have some stuff to carry but parking would be available for $10 a night on the property as well. Television, coffee, tea and snacks available in the room. Windows towards backyard, quiet rooms, but noisy key card for your room. Every time you open the door a melody will let everyone in the hotel know you're back. Location superb! Just a couple minutes from the city centre and to Mainz. Would stay here again!
