Very nice stay
My boyfriend and I stayed in Swindon for a work trip, very spacious rooms for the price. Clean and comfortable beds, no faults with the room. Did find that the restaurant downstairs was quite pricey for what they were serving. Considering how close you are to other amenities, I would definitely recommend heading out for food. Also, we had to unexpectedly stay for another night at short notice, the lady at the desk accommodated us straight away and got us into another room without having to wait for the check in time. Very grateful for the pleasant service. Finally, there is also a charge for the car park at £6 a night.
Great nights stay!
Had a brilliant stay at Jury’s inn in Swindon. All the staff were lovely, really helpful and kind. The man behind reception was brilliant, he even offered me his jacket to stop my hair getting wet from the rain! Nothing was too much trouble and we had a great nights sleep!
Couple of days away
Clean, tidy, food couldn't complain in this present Covid situation - ordered from room and had to collect from reception - breakfast in a bag, enjoyable, even husband (who's fussy) enjoyed, was left outside room in morning. Staff helpful and polite. Not first time here, will come again.
Great Hotel - impressed with the food!
I usually stay at the Marriott - but as it’s still closed I got a deal for Jury’s Inn. I’m paying less for 2 nights than I would have paid for 1 night at the Marriott. The room is clean and comfortable, really well decorated. The sound proofing is impressive. The biggest surprise to me is the food. I’m a really fussy vegetarian and usually feel let down by hotel food. Not here! The selection is really good. I had the lentil, butternut squash and spinach curry. Really tasty and well spiced. I wiped the plate clean with the last of my mini naan. Yum. My wife had the mac and cheese and garlic bread - very generous portion and also really tasty. We shared a warm chocolate brownie which really hit the spot. We’re definitely coming back.
August Bank holiday
After staying here last year decided to give it another try, as after the rocky start to booking it was a very nice hotel, nice continental and cooked breakfast, good selection in the bar. The hotel is central to Swindon and only a short walk to the train station. Booked well in advance bed and breakfast. However our breakfast consisted of something very strange left outside our bedroom door in the form of a paper bag with Crussh on it which included a bottle of orange juice, a tub with chia, coconut and oats, seasonal fruit grapes and blueberries not particularly our seasons fruit! However all praising the healthy vibe and gf but somewhat spoilt by including a pain au chocolat not gf. If the hotel intended not to serve the usual breakfast then I think they should have informed me before arrival but at no point did they mention it and I checked my emails frequently. Today our last day breakfast was somewhat different obviously they had run out of their pre purchased bag and gone to the shops themselves so today we got OJ, a small muffin in cling film, a yogurt, an apple and a nutri grain bar and yet another pastry encased in a box?! Due to my allergies except the OJ all are inedible. My point being had they informed me no breakfast in the usual sense would be served then I could have rebooked to room only, at a cheaper rate or booked elsewhere!! Yes I do appreciate these are strange times but having worked all the time since this pandemic arrived I sometimes think common sense has vanished and excuses are the order of the day!
