Great place, great service
Great little place, made us feel very welcome. Catered to a vegan diet for us without notice. Thank you. Nice spacious rooms with a lovely comfortable bed! Friendly people who run this place. Enjoyable stay
Quirky but fun
This is a quirky, old place full of character. If you are looking for a lush, up-to-date place to stay, this isn't for you; but if you are looking for an interesting place, here it is. Our room was quite large with a king bed. The plumbing was a bit cranky, but it is an older building. The road noise was a bit loud, but it definitely quieted down at night. There is a self-serve honor bar (we don't know why the bar/restaurant isn't open full time anymore-perhaps personal health issues?) but they do serve breakfast and dinner for hotel guests. The breakfast was included in the cost of our room and was very good. The owner (I think it was the owner) was very nice and accommodating-our breakfast was cooked to order. He gave us some good tips on Avebury and Stonehenge. I sure hope they can make a go of the place. It was fun to stay.
It is a nice place to stay
We had a pleasant stay here, it might not be for the fussiest sort of travellers. It was quite peaceful place, it did not not seem to be very lively pub but traffic noise from outside was noticeable but neither a problem for us. The breakfast was very nice and the staff quite helpful/attentive.
Decent hotel
Stayed here for 1 night as was working local the customer booked it in advance Can not knock it really, was welcomed by the young lad behind the bar who was very friendly, easy check in, room was very nice and clean, bathroom light would not stay on but nothing to serious as there is a shaving light there also. Very nice tea served at the bar and a nice beer garden out the back...very good selection of beers also which is a bonus Would stay again
Lovely place to stay
This was a lovely bed and breakfast. The room was really nice and very clean. It has been recently taken over by new owners and has been done out nicely. The Owner was lovely and friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was made freshly and was really nice. Starting to become the place to go for Sunday lunch with my local family! Would definitely recommend.
