Amazing afternoon tea
Lovely locally run hotel,with an eye for detail. Had afternoon tea nothing was too much trouble the warm buttermilk scone were beautiful. Started with a butternut soup and then a local sausage roll with warm red current sauce. Sandwiches and a beautiful range of cakes. Never felt rushed and a wide range of teas including their own blend. Covid safe tables very spaced out with guest split over 2 rooms, with one of the best high tech hand sanitizer machines i have seen. Would throughly recommend, a local business trying and succeeding in uncertain times.
Excellent hotel in the ideal location
Excellent stay in a fabulous hotel close to the heart of things - Jonathan and Caroline are great hosts and everything was as it should be - obvious why this place has such a high rating and good reviews :)
Fabulous short break in the Lakes
We had a lovely 2 night stay at Cedar Manor. The hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished. Afternoon tea was a amazing - not that we could eat it all in one go, thankfully the treats we couldn't eat were boxed up for us to enjoy later! Fabulous breakfasts. Plenty of choice and great quality. Jonathan is a natural host and he looked after our every need.
Fabulous place for a break!
We booked into the cedar court at short notice, luckily for us there had been a cancellation. We stayed in the Bowness room - luxurious, unbelievably comfortable bed and amazing spa bath. The team were always available to help. The personal touch was not lost in realms of social distancing and masks. Don’t get me started on the gorgeous breakfasts! The weather was typically Cumbrian but location, facilities and ambience means we will definitely be returning.
A very good short break in a beautiful place
Cedar Manor is a lovely hotel in a superb location, set in its own garden, away from traffic noise, yet close to Windermere town centre and just a 2k stroll from the lake. I could not praise enough the proprietors of this boutique hotel for the comfortable accommodation, excellent breakfast, and good service in very difficult Covid-19 times. Would certainly stay there again.
