The staff are friendly but the hotel rooms are outdated!! I have stayed in about 20 different hotels this year alone and this Marriott has to be the most outdated! The beds are small and very uncomfortable! Would not stay again unless this place gets a major overhaul!!!
Sorry I didn’t stay at the Hampton Inn

This review is for my stay on September 13-14th. Do not stay in room 236. I arrived at Bradley Airport ready to be picked up at 11:31pm. I read the reviews which said, select a hotel that has their own van. Fairfield Inn does not. The first van to arrive wasn’t stopping. I was in a crosswalk so I stepped out. The van had to stop, The driver said he couldn’t pick me up but another van would come soon. I really dislike the word soon. A van arrived. I got on. He waited and a family of 5 or 6 got on. They were going to the Econo lodge. Based on location and ease of getting into these hotels, going to the Fairfield Inn first would have made sense. I was one person. Maybe he wanted to drop the family first. I don’t know. All he told me is drives for 6 hotels. I had to take the not so scenic bumpy drive behind buildings to get to the Econo lodge before reversing that route to the Fairfield Inn. Check-in at the Inn was easy as I pre checked in online. I was handed 2 key cards to room 236. The room was stuffy. I turned the air conditioner on to a cooler setting. It turned on. Then I had a musty smell. Being covid times, I had a can of Lysol I sprayed everywhere. It is now approaching 12:20am and all I really wanted was a shower. I turned the water on. Stepped in and immediately noticed a slimy bathtub bottom. I took my shower. I stepped out, no bath towels. Just hand towels. I have spent a lot of nights in hotels and this was a first. I called the front desk. The guy brought up the towels. I told him about the slimy bathtub, He said he would tell the manager. Right! They do not put plastic over the remote controls. I carry plastic bags. I suggest you do regardless of the hotel, though the last Hampton inn I stayed in had encased their remotes in plastic. Not to mention bath towels and a clean tub. After a less than relaxing shower, I was literally afraid to get into bed. I did smell the pillow cases. They smelled clean. I used my flashlight on the sheets and didn’t see anything strange. If you like a soft bed with a depression from lots of use, this is the room for you. Frankly, I thought the bed was comfortable. I arrived very late, but, I found the hallways and room very quiet. I slept until the alarm clock in the room went off at 6am. 5 hours of sleep. I’m not going to blame the Fairfield Inn for the alarm clock. My life lesson, pull the plug on any clock in the room. I would have slept longer. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring Scrubbing Bubbles and a sponge. I had to stand in the slimy bathtub again. As I was leaving, housekeeping was literally at my door. I suggested she put bath towels in there. I didn’t bother with the tub. That is not my responsibility. At approximately 8am I dropped my key cards into the box and left. There was some kind of breakfast offered. I cannot comment on that. I just wanted to be out of the Fairfield Inn. I expected a better experience as Fairfield Inn is part of Marriott.

This was our last hotel stay of our vacation, we traveled 1086 miles and six states. This hotel was very comfortable and relaxing. The staff was really nice and professional. I got to turn in my rental car early and they had a driver pick me up.The location is perfect, there about 4 minutes to car rental and 8 minutes to airport.I highly recommend this hotel.
Needs to do Better on the little things !

The room was small and half clean. There was dirt and hair in bathtub, I had to use my own Clorox just to clean it cause there was no response after I checked in. Stayed on the third floor and it had a stale odor when getting off the elevator. By the way, the elevator needs to be replaced. Old and makes a horrible noise when opening and closing.
