More about the hotel
Very nice stay
I really enjoyed my stay and the room was very nice and the gym was adequate for my needs and open (as long as I wore a mask) during COVID. Also the complimentary breakfast was very delicious. I really enjoyed it. Also the staff are very kind and helpful and make you feel at home! I highly recommend it.
Good Stay During Covid, limited breakfast, hotel is new and fresh
This is a return visit. First visit was great because hotel is new, clean and well designed. This visit was during covid and obviously things have changed. The rooms are still clean and comfortable. Staff friendly. Limited breakfast and housekeeping due to covid.
Convenient to Outlet Mall and Soccer/Baseball Tournament
Room and overall hotel was very clean. Breakfast was good although they ran out of most items before we got down on Sunday morning. The only gripe would be that the elevator was very very slow. Not an issue other than at checkout and checkin when we had all of our luggage. Other times we just used stairs.
Perfect Fairfield Inn
Stayed here one night for work. Check in was smooth and quick, offered a couple of cold bottles of water and off to my room in a just a couple of minutes. This is a newer Fairfield Inn and they have worked hard to keep it that way. Everything was spotless and perfectly maintained. In fact, when I arrived there was someone mopping a floor I that looked clean to me. I like how they no longer use and waste little plastic bottles bottles of shampoo. The shower head was high enough for most NBA players, the water was hot with excellent pressure. The bed was perfect. Because of COVID they're offering sack breakfasts to go, I took a pass. I would also have taken a pass in their regular offering because I've grown tired of it. I'm a Marriott Gold member, lots of nights. Highly recommend.
Unhelpful Management
I had a terrible experience with this hotel, with customer service that was worse than non-existent. I'll begin by admitting that I had mistakenly booked the wrong weekend via Priceline. I quickly realized my mistake and called the hotel directly to see if they could change things around, so that I didn't need to book another reservation elsewhere (to save some due to my mistake). They said they could change it and it wouldn't be an issue. Upon arrival for my stay, I explained the whole situation again and double-checked, "I will not be charged again, correct"? I was thrown off because they asked for my credit card so I wanted to be absolutely certain it would not be an issue. The staff reassured me that I would not be double charged, they only needed a card for incidentals. Lo-and-behold, I was charged twice, so I paid an additional $300+. Of course, I tried to resolve this directly with hotel management, thinking they'd be more than willing to help. I called and one of the managers informed me that they would help clear it up if I could provide records of both transactions. I emailed records of the transactions to management, and... nothing. I try to more times over the span of 2-3 weeks. Continued silence. I contact corporate, who assure me that they will contact hotel management, but I still received no response. I contact corporate again, they escalate the issue and inform me to reach out if management does not contact me again. Management still does not reach out. I contacted corporate one more time, but at this point it's just the same empty words. Predictably, no one reached out again to help. In the end I wasted hours and hours of my time on this issue, I eventually filed a dispute with my credit card company because nobody, not even corporate, lifted a finger to help resolve the issue. I only really wanted a complimentary stay because I (used to) stay here all the time. Due to the lack of assistance from corporate and especially hotel management, I will not be returning to a Marriott ever again if possible. Working in customer service myself, I can understand am occasional slip up; this was willful negligence and refusal to do their job. If this hotel makes any mistakes on your charges, all I have to say is: good luck. In fact, if any Marriott screws up, good luck, because corporate was equally useless.
