More about the hotel
Excellent and affordable room (and breakfast)
We stayed for one night in a well put together, clean room. The hotel and restaurant service was great, and the breakfast was a solid full English with juice and coffee (included in the price). They happily accommodated my vegan partner, as well. Overall a great deal, especially compared to other options in Woodstock.
Breakfast stop
Nice clean cafe / tea- room Had breakfast was good value for money £5 Nice atmosphere and plenty of seating Would recommend. Parking can be a bit hit and miss as it is on street and can get very busy .
Perfect short stay
We stayed two nights while we were going to Blenheim Lights. Lovely, quiet rooms above a cafe that closes at 5. Little courtyard was very handy as we couldn't go to a pub due to tier 2 restrictions, but we could still sit and have a bottle of wine in the evening. Room was small, clean, comfy bed (Rm3). Staff friendly, breakfast lovely. No complaints. Thank you x
A DEFINITE PLACE TO STAY AGAIN WHEN IN WOODSTOCK
Loved the quirkiness of the rooms above the cafe. Room small and clean. Good quality bed linen Free waters from Blenheim grounds Substantial breakfast in the little cafe Excellent really friendly warm staff! Great location for a short walk the the palace
Nice but let down
We had a one night stay here to break up our drive down to the West Country. The staff were welcoming and the room was small, quiet, clean and cosy just right for an overnight stay. We ate out and on our return the toilet flush which was a bit suspect to start with packed in completely. This meant that rather than en suite toilet facilities during the night and in the morning we had to dress and go out and downstairs to the tea room toilets. We accept that things like this can happen but when mentioned to the waitress in the morning she said that she would mention it to her manageress and that they had similar problems with it previously. On checking out the manageress seemed completely unapologetic and disinterested that we had had an issue and apart from the lack of toilet facilities we had a disturbed nights sleep due to water constantly running from the cistern into the toilet. No apology, just a thanks for letting us know. Solely on the customer service aspect I wouldn’t stay here again. Other than that a decent room, good breakfast.
