Healing retreat!

Reviewed 22 june, 2021

So much to say but trying to shorten it down. I went on this retreat for my Birthday, Dad had not long passed away, and I needed some time out for me, away from everything. I'm so glad I came across Song of the River.... Nick and Barbara are the most beautiful kind hearted caring people I've ever met, they welcomed me into their home with open arms. The tranquil hidden gardens, the river, the treatment room, massage, facial, meditation...The cabin on the river where I liked to spend a lot of my time. Barbara just knows how and what to do to make you feel relaxed and healed from within. The food was to die for, the wine was flowing... birds were singing, beautiful surroundings, beautiful home they have. I highly recommend, and ill be back again very shortly. Great for couples, and if travelling solo. Comfortable bed too. Slept like a log!

Almost don’t want to share

Reviewed 4 july, 2019

I want to keep knowledge of this place to myself. It’s so beautiful and so idyllic that I don’t want anyone else to be there. But of course I am compelled by my own conscience that if you’re reading this then you must be close to booking. And you won’t be disappointed. Down by the babbling brook under the swaying tall trees take timeout of reality and for a moment step into a little garden of Eden. Barbara and Nick looked after me so well. I’m already looking forward to a longer stay. And thank you guys for suck a lovely welcome kind words lovely breakfast to see me on my way. I feel refreshed.

We stayed whilst passing through Wales. A warm welcome was given and the house is totally fantastic, waterfalls, stables a ford and forest surround you. Barbara was a lovely host and did everything to make our stay perfect. Recommending restaurants pubs and walks. Was a little different staying in some one else s home. For this place i would recommend. Nice walks surround the area. A definite must if you are looking for some peace and quiet.

Beautiful place and beautiful people

I stayed here with a friend as we were going to a convention in Wrexham and we are so very glad we found them. We were definitely meant to I think. Barbara and Nick are incredible people who offer not only a wonderful stay but they truly welcome you into their home and you feel very relaxed. The surrounding area is beautiful and we are looking forward to returning.

Beautiful place

This B&B is in a lovely peaceful spot and it is the ideal place to get away from it all and be spoiled by the hosts. Barbara does a great hot stones massage and the accommodation and food is excellent.
