Best Stopover in Taiwan/Jane橙堡-台湾宜兰最棒的民宿!
Opinión escrita el 24 de agosto de 2016
One of the best hotel homestay we had in Taiwan! Jane, the extremely friendly lady boss prepared porridge specially for my toddler boy to help him eat better. Excellence experience with personal touch from Jane herself. We have booked 3 rooms with different themes, the stay is simply out of this world! Beautiful outdoor environment as well. Will definitely go back again!!!

Stay for the King and Queen

beautiful place named after the owner Jane. We stayed there for two nights and it was kind of strange at first. the accommodations almost fit for royalty but once you walked out into the open you can actually smell the sewer and manure from the farmland. it would be really nice if you get a chance to stay here when they actually have the harvest so the fields will look good with the castle at the backdrop. also the importance of a clear skies. the homestay has different themes depending on the rooms you are assigned to. such as indian or fairly tale concept. very friendly owner and a lovely experience to stay here at Jane's Castle Yilan.

Lovely environment

My first experience staying at a home stay. It was a really pleasant experience. Granted of course this was not some cheap stay & go home stay. Price definitely fits the experience. It can be view as quite steep for some. Stayed over in a 4 persons room which costs around RM 400 ++. The upside:- 1) A theme home stay that features fairy tale concept. Their princess room are really really popular. It is usually booked like 6 months prior stay. 2) Breakfast! Very simple traditional day to day breakfast that locals would have. Rather than all western. 3) Land lady! She is really friendly and nice. Asked her for some recommendation around and she gave some really good ones. 4) 7-11! Walking distance. About 3 mins away. 5) Surroundings is great. Clean. Safe. The local environment experience. The downside:- 1) WiFi might not be assessable everywhere. We had a ground floor room right next to the living hall. WiFi connection was bad in the room. 2) Breakfast. Yes, it could be kinda a downside too if you are not used to having porridge and bread only every morning. Less variety. 3) Transportation. Trying to hail a cab might be quite a problem even though the home stay is facing the main road. However, I am sure you can get the management to call one for you.

This year Mar 14, we went to Taiwan again. Actually, we didn't intend to go to Yilan as we have been there before (more than once). However, I happen to see this minus - Jane Castle. The appearance of this minus really tempted me to stay there. Indeed, I wasn't disappointed. All the rooms were tastefully decorated with exquisite furniture. The Jane Castle has two accomodation areas - the left tower is Louvre 羅浮宮 and on the right is Versailles 凡爾賽. If you have a big group (eg. 16 pax), you can booked the one of the tower. We stayed in two separate rooms in the Louvre. It has six themed rooms with ensuite (can stay up to 16 pax). There is a luxurious living room and dining cum kitchenette to be shared by guests. The Louvre rooms are all castle themed rooms and the rooms are named after the King, Queen, Prince and Princess. In fact, each room is designed with beauty and style and I can see that the minsu really pays attention to the room's details (eg. curtain, bed frame, lighting and even the dustbin). More details and pictures - http://sflow00.wordpress.com/2014/05/04/jane-castle/ The other accommodation - Versailles has 5 themed rooms. The rooms' design are towards exotic theme. Also very beautiful. The minsu also kept the place spick and span. We also had a hearty breakfast. My family had a wonderful stay here and really enjoyed my room and the surrounding ! Once we entered the castle and rooms, it was all ‘wow’ and ‘wow’. Really an memorable minsu experience !
