Wonderful staff!
We were looking for a place to stay on a drive south and this place was great. We are very concerned about COVID so we read a lot of reviews to choose this place — and we were not disappointed. But most of all the staff was wonderful!
Comfortable bed & quiet room led to a good night's sleep
Nice large room was quiet and had a comfortable bed. Room had a sofa which was good for watching TV. Bedroom and bath room were very clean. Also very impressed that the towels and washcloths were wrapped in plastic and sealed for cleanliness. Nice indoor pool and spa. Will stay there again when travelling thru area.
Pleasant surprise 😊
We found this place last minute and didn’t get to the hotel until 11PM. Even at that late hour, we were greeted warmly and with a friendly smile. We weren’t sure what to expect based on the cost but we planned to hit the road the next morning by 8 AM, so just needed a clean bed. We were pleasantly surprised with not only the size of the room, including a sitting area and nice sized small fridge, which had a freezer to refreeze our freezer packs but above all, especially now, the cleanliness of the room and bathroom! Also very impressed that the towels and washcloths were wrapped in plastic and sealed for cleanliness. There was a nice little breakfast served by a friendly young lady, very good coffee and following current health and safety with social distancing practice. Definitely a 👍👍Thank you for a clean&friendly place to stay.
overnight stay
Check in was good, lobby clean, room clean, bathroom need a little more attention to detail in cleaning around the corners of the tub. The breakfast area was grab and go per covid restrictions. The ac worrked really good.
Come on now....!
Where to begin… Checking in the place looks clean. Nice lobby, nice breakfast area, but if you look closely at the carpet it is disgusting. The pattern in the carpet hides the dirt and stains very well. What got me on the cleaning kick was noticing dirty footprints (ours) in the bathtub after showering from leaving the hot tub. BTW, these tubs are like standing in a very narrow boat. They are not flat on the bottom but curve up sharply to aid in water drainage. So if you are over the average size persons height and weight it’s going to be uncomfortable trying to stand and shower. The entryway is tile. After showering I used my towel and wiped down the entire tile entry area. Picture attached, self-explanatory. YUCK! It was after this that I went to the car and got the Clorox cleanup with bleach and my inexpensive showerhead with hose. My wife and I then proceeded to clean the entire room. You are going to see a picture of how dirty the shower wall was based on the brown water that ran into the tub. There is picture of a towel where I wiped the bathroom light over the mirror. Filthy. The pictures on the wall in the bathroom are also dirty. I don’t think they’ve been dusted in six months. Surprisingly however the headboard on the bed was dust free! Now back to the bathroom... The door frame is rusted behind the door, there’s a piece of tile beside the tub that is only supported by the wallpaper. Picture attached. I took a picture of the wall in the shower showing how dirty it still is because of lack of cleaning over the months. This upper soapdish is not in the best of places. All I do because of my height is hit my elbow on it. Picture attached. There is a grab bar in the shower area but it’s too low down to do much good at 6’3”! The desk top in the living room and bedroom area was not clean. It is now! Everything was 12 hours ago because we wiped everything down with Clorox cleanup! The hot tub had some black funky buildup on the side of it inside which I wiped off with one of their pool towels. It would appear that proper maintenance on the pool and spa are not maintained at this time or maybe never. When we checked in we were told the water was 100° in the hot tub. It was 94°. The pool is 78° and is supposedly heated. We were also told the pool was 80°. NOT! Too cold. The magnetically locked entry door from the parking lot for safety doesn’t work and the “owner?”kind of laughed about it. Really? The dividing wall between the sitting area and the bed has a wood shelf over it. It was only siliconed in place. I found out the hard way by just about dumping everything in the floor that I had just set on top of it that it was not even attached. The silicone has let go and the wood is just sitting on top of the half wall. Picture included. Lest I forget. When you open the bathroom door the light from the bathroom reflects on the mirror over the desk and directly across the bed directly into the faces of everyone in the bed. Picture attached. If you don’t mind Staying somewhere where the cleaning is just mediocre, the hallway carpets are filthy, and your safety is “ eh, whatever” by all means stay here. But if safety and cleanliness are some things that you care about while you are staying in a hotel or motel, please go elsewhere! I’m glad we’re only staying one night.
