We held a small gathering after the funeral. It was superbly done. It was set out with flowers on the tables, the buffet room was also set out extremely well. The food was excellent and faultless. Meg and all the Staff could not have been more kinder and they greeted everyone and could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend going for a meal or bed and breakfast. Thank you.
Very friendly staff, clean and good quality food.

Surprised by earlier reviews as we found this hotel delightful. Very friendly staff that could not do enough for you. The room was clean with good facilities. The food was very good. We also noticed several locals visiting the bar to eat and drink, always a good sign. I can only assume the earlier reviews were from previous owners. The booking site we used had excellent reviews and this proved to be the case.

This place should be on a blacklist. We had asked for early check-in one week in advance with no reply, followed by phone calls, a further email and Facebook message which equally went unanswered. We arrived at 13.30 looking to check-in early as we had a wedding of a close friend to rush to. The manager said that a check-in before 16:30 was out of the question (the wedding reception was starting at 3:30). They didn’t accept to keep our suitcases or let us use the common spaces to change and get ready. My husband had to get changed outside of the hotel - that’s how unaccomodating they were. The manager proceeded to yelling at us ´I am tired of this. This happens all the time - people always come asking to check-in early and I simply won’t accept it’. Seems like there is a genuine problem if that’s the case! (By the way we even offered to pay extra). Long story short, after 2 hours of waiting outside - they let us into our room. Worst hospitalilty experience ever.

Very rude, aggressive, and unaccommodating staff. Bad in communication (don’t pick up the phone or reply to emails). Constructive feedback: let your staff go do an internship in an actual hotel so that they can pick up some skills necessary in this industry.

Whoever The Preston Hotel got to do their website did a fantastic job. It looks great and it lurs people in however from my experience it is false advertising. The staff weren't the friendliest and it felt like an inconvenience that I was there. The website says they serve food till 10pm so I didn't stop on my journey to the hotel as I thought I could get food there but after check in and getting my room key (9.15pm) I asked if we can still order food and he told me "the kitchen has pretty much cleaned down now". I was really disappointed with this but too tired to complain. The room itself looks lovely, fairly modern but the bathroom was disgusting. Looks about 50 years old and dirty. I was looking forward to a bath but its just not possible to relax in there which for me is the whole point in having a bath. The extractor fan sounds like a plane is waiting to take off. I booked a table for breakfast and the waitress was really nice and polite. To be honest, the waitress was the only good thing to come from this stay. Breakfast was standard, nothing special but edible.
