Black mold on mattresses
I've stayed at multiple motel 6 over the years including this one. However its been over 10 years since I made a stop here. I checked in and left to grab food and fill my car up with gas. I returned and noticed stains on the mattress "drape" and lifted it up to find mold all along the bottom mattress. I checked out the 2nd bed and it was as disgustingly gross as the other one. I was beyond disgusted. While Attempt to check another room out it appears to be lacking in cleanliness and the mattress was made with darker brown color of fabric. NOT EVEN TRUSTING THAT! I said I want to check out. I requested refund to my credit card and was told only manager could refund it and had just left for the day. Sorry that's not acceptable business practice by any means. Just the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in my life!
Worst visit ever
Wow! I read the reviews for this hotel and thought to myself people can be a little "special" when judging but! I apologize they're completely right! We where here a max of 30min trying to accept the fact we needed a place to sleep in order to continue our road trip. We absolutely couldn't do it. We packed up and walked out! This is not a hotel this is a homeless shelter! People are actually living there. The room we had was very dirty! There where hairs everywhere, walls where all speckled with God knows what, bad oder, etc. The worst part was the "homeless people" arguing/screaming from one room to another. I'm not a person quick to judge and I'm very understanding and I gave this place a chance...it's not worth it. Go to a Best Western and pay a little extra. Nothing is better than a safe good sleep.
Disgusting
I paid extra for a “deluxe“ room that should’ve had a frig and microwave, but this room had neither. Also, the room was filthy. When I pulled down the bedspread, I found multiple strands of hair in the bed, which were not my own because I’d only been in the room for a couple of minutes and hadn’t even sat on the bed yet. There was something black and sticky smeared all over the nightstand which were not stains because I was able to scrub it off using an alcohol wipe. This made me wonder if anything else in the room (light switches, TV remote, doorknobs, faucets, etc) had been wiped down and sanitized, which is a major concern during this pandemic. I spent about 30 minutes wiping down a room that the motel staff should’ve cleaned before I checked in, but obviously didn’t. The boxsprings had dark stains all over it that looked like blood. I stepped out for a minute to move my car, and when I returned there was a strange man trying to get into my room. He claimed it was his room and that all his stuff was inside. I called the front desk after he left and they explained that the room was, indeed, his, and they had mistakenly removed his stuff and given the room to me thinking that he was ready to check out. As a woman traveling alone, this made me feel very unsafe. I couldn’t be sure that the card key he had in his possession still worked for the room. That, along with the fact that I was sleeping in a bed I was sure hadn’t gotten clean sheets, and there was a car just outside my room with people sitting in it with the music blaring all night long, made it impossible to get any sleep.
Very Filthy
Broken windows taped with black tape. How ghetto. Homeless people wondering around. Dirty. This takes the cake of all the motel 6 I ever stayed at. Dirty floors. Yreka has to be one of the most ghetto places I drove by. Negative 100 🌟
motel from hell
Motel Sux! Sickly mismanaged by the local Friends of Satan. If you survive the night, you'll hate yourself by morning. But don't blame the chain smoking staff, it's your fault they're so busy. Your room awaits, but it has to be cleaned, but it won't be, but they'll say it is! There are 10 better motels within a mile on the same street, so if they treat you like your crazy for staying there, you probably are. You'll fit right in! Maybe there's a job for you there too. You could fix the internet.....its slower than the post office.
