The cleanest centrally located accommodation operated a very friendly, efficient and helpful management
I stayed at Midnight Sun Inn's independent suits at 3 different locations in downtown Whitehorse for a period of two months. This place is located in the central part of Whitehorse downtown, so everything is within walking distance! All suits that I stayed at were very clean, well stocked with necessities and functioned very well. The best part was that the management headed by Mr. Anson Zhen looks after and maintains their various properties personally. Mr. Zhen considers customers, whom her refers to as guests, as his God and he is always thankful to them for staying at his properties!,Mr. Zhen is available on phone almost 24X7 and picks up all calls himself. He always tries to accommodate his customers' needs to his level best. Not only he helps the guests while they stay with him but is also helpful to guests if they need any personal assistance such as moving the guest's heavy baggage or if a guest's need around the city or what care to take in the extreme winter weather conditions in Yukon. I have extensively travelled internationally and have stayed at the best of hotels in large cities and exotic tourist places. I would rate Mr. Anson Zhen and his Midnight Sun Inn as one of the best and friendliest places that I have stayed at. Considering they operate in remote north Canada, where it is not easy for them to get the best equipment and staff easily, they are doing a marvelous job to provide such good accommodation and personalized services at the most economical rates. I would recommend Mr. Anson Zhen and his Midnight Sun Inn to all travelers, be it for business or vacation! I wish Mr. Anson Zhen the very best in his hospitality ventures and would personally stay at his facilities again and every time when I visit Whitehorse!
Awesome place and well run
Close to downtown, clean and organized, well-run. Would highly recommend if you are stopping in Whitehorse as part of a larger trip around the Yukon. The hosts were very responsive to questions and concerns and the check-in process was very simple and straightforward even when we would do it last minute after cutting out a day of camping to go back to Whitehorse. We ended up depending lots on midnight sun during our trip as a reliable spot.
Good place to stay with basic needs
This is like a Airbnb, it a house they converted to 10-12 rooms. Kitchen items needs to be replaced since too many guest use it and gets scratched up like non stick pans. We stayed basement next to kitchen which use to be a living room converted to a room. It’s shared washroom which is ok, we never had conflict of someone being there. Plus they have washroom upstairs too. Only thing is if you have a messy guest that doesn’t how to use a shower curtain than the whole floor gets wet. Bfast was simple. Items bought from grocery and you cook yourself. Eggs, milk cereal . Fruit n bread with jam. You can buy own food and put in ref. Coffee machine has hard water scales on it so didn’t want to use it. Overall the bed was good, you get soap n shampoo and towels.
great place!!!
really nice place. clean. Anson hospitality, guidance and energy is out of the league. close to restaurants and supermarkets. you can fix your own breakfast at will. wi fi in. rooms with private badroom appreciated. will come back and stay here again!!!!
Over-Rated
My room was SMALL, and was equivalent to a basement location meaning that anyone on the lawn in front of the building would be able to look down into my SMALL room which did not even have a sink. I had to use the bathroom in the hall. I considered the room to be very over-rated, and though I really needed to stay another night, nevertheless I decided that I was not willing to stay in the same hotel. This hotel is, however, scrupulously clean. And tenants have full access to the kitchen to make their own breakfasts from a large, well-stocked refrigerator. And the young Chinese man who is the proprietor is very intelligent and he tries hard to be very helpful. Maybe I am just not used to boxy little basement rooms which do not even have a sink.
