Got it on Hotwire: quiet, warm(ish)

I ended up spending an extra night in Zacatecas. I found this place on Hotwire for 14 MXD. Some reviews complained of very cold rooms with no spare blankets. I asked for a quiet room away from the street and got number 111. It was on a side corridor off the long main hall. Maybe that's part of why it was fairly warm inside... it was far from nighttime air. It wasn't fancy, but it was a bargain for the price and the great location.
Quiet surroundings and comfortable rooms

The hotel was great. The staff awesome. I stayed there during the street theater celebrations; just spectacular. The only downside was that during several days, the wireless internet connection during work or was sporadic. Nevertheless, I had a great time and do recommend the hotel for anyone staying at Azactecas Center.
Good location for budget travelers

Easy to walk to most things we wanted to see. Room was clean, not to noisy considering location. Decor very minimal. We had concerns with no hot water the first night and staff corrected this. . Yes, you get what you pay for.
hard beds, cold rooms, dangerous gym!!! located - great!

The hotel is in a fabulous location but that is where the good news ends. It is cold and damp with no natural light or heating in the rooms. The rooms were freezing and when we asked for extra blankets were told "no!" There are no tea or coffee making facilities and the bathrooms are dated and only two towels given!!!The gym has out of date dangerous equipment and I actually needed hospital treatment after the bike collapsed on me!!! The reception were helpful but it seriously needs an update...there are significantly better places to stay to enjoy this fabulous city.
You get what you pay for ... admittedly good location.

You get what you pay for ... admittedly good location. The room had no windows, the mattress was stiff, the hotel run down. However, the rates are quite low, they do have free parking and wifi (in the common areas as the signal did not reach our room) ... and the location is great ... therefore my average rating and not a poor one.
