The hotel was perfect for our trip to Zadar. We explored the old town and really enjoyed the waterfront in the evening with beautiful sunsets, the “sea organ” and the light show. Everyone was so nice and welcoming to us during our stay. The only problem was finding the hotel. The street in the front of the hotel is only accessible by the hotel staff. There is only a very small sign in the parking area that lets you know you have arrived. GPS leads you to the parking but the signage could be improved. I suggest you call the hotel when you get in the area and the can direct you to the proper parking area. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and accommodating to our needs and even invited us to join them in watching a football match Croatia vs Spain.

We stopped here as part of my birthday vacation and my birthday just happened to fall during our stay. My mom mentioned to Ivan, the desk clerk, the night before and not only did he sing "Happy Birthday" the next morning, but we also found complimentary sparkling wine in our room later that day. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The staff at the front desk even helped us book a COVID-19 test appointment where the guy came to the hotel to conduct the procedure. Our room was gorgeous, I should have taken pictures. I hope we get a chance to go back soon.

We were allocated a lovely room with a marina view (thank you Mario). Service standards and restaurant were outstanding as would be expected from a Relais and Chateau member. Located within a short walk of all the historic sites of trafic free old Zadar but with parking facilities. Zadar has many interesting sites, both ancient and and modern. It also turned out to have some excellent restaurants inluding the Pet Bunara Highly recommended overall.

We decided to stay at Hotel Bastion last minute to try something different and we were not disappointed. The hotel had a beautiful ambiance and the staff were incredibly helpful. Ivan the front desk receptionist was a delight and actually gave us great recommendations for were to eat in Zadar and where to go next in Croatia. We also loved Ivan, the cook/waiter, everything he made for us was fantastic and one day he made us the probably the best dessert I’ve ever had, ask for it if you go, its a ricotta based dessert.

Stayed in Bastion for the weekend with my wife. Great hotel, perfect location, parking in front of the hotel and nice and easy ( 2 minutes)walk to the city center. Room is great and spaceus with fantastic amenities. Breakfast is great as you can sit at the nice terrace in front of the hotel. Nice and friendly service. And great value for money. Highly recomended.
