Friendly reception staff but that's where the positives end. The whole hotel is grubby, the lift buttons we're sticky and when we checked in on a hot day we found out room windows closed and the heater turned up to full. The room was completely uninhabitable for a number of hours - we had to leave and return later on to unpack.

We thoroughly enjoyed two days/nights here. We had dinner each night, good quality food for 15 pounds. Breakfast was excellent, especially the cooked one. Plates and the food were kept pleasantly warm. A choice of cheeses would have made an improvement on the cold buffet. Staff at the restaurant were friendly and pleasantly honest when advising on which dish to choose. Room was satisfactory but a bit sparsely equipped. On arrival only one large cup, one espresso cup and one glass were found in the suite. Windows were worn an will need an upgrade soon. Comfortable bed an okay bathroom with an old-fashioned bathtub. Excellent location for Union Street and town centre.

Second visit and glad we did. Went for 50th Birthday Celebration with family and hotel made went above and beyond to make this special. Excellent selection of sandwiches everything so fresh and tasty. Homemade scones with selection of toppings. So many tasty cakes, beat us and needed box to take home. Got new fav Gin. Huge Thank you to all Staff involved. Highly recommend and will return on our next visit to Aberdeen.

Went for lunch Place was empty but it was just before midday First impression cleaning crumbs off seat and table Drinks arrived so full they were spilling all over?! Ordered lunch Cutlery arrived dropped on floor?! Customers started to arrive Our food arrived basic and not great but edible Waited and waited and waited for plates to clear until I called the girl over Coffees arrived Bill paid Not the cleanest of places in one way and another sadly

After an unexplainable mix up with the dates of our afternoon tea for 12 of my family, I can honestly say that the staff went out of their way to find an acceptable solution for us. They did indeed and our whole experience was perfect. The staff were very professional and met all our requirements. We could not fault anything with the food and service. We will be back. Big thank you to all staff. Fiona Dunn and family.
