Bed bugs/ Punaisses de lit
The receptionists were nice. And the whole place looked clean until we discovered bed-bugs. After the first night we discovered our room was infested with bed bugs. After talking with the manager he offered us a new room. Since we had our bags on the floor near the bed we asked him for support and he offered to wash and dry our clothes on high temperature. Scared not to carry the bed bugs home, we decided to throw away our bags and the things we could not wash or inspect thoroughly. We asked for both a refund for our stay and for the hotel to support some of the costs incurred, but apparently since it's a chain we had to fill in a form that would go to the central management. Needles to say a month after we haven't heard back from them even if we sent them a reminder (ah, to be honest we got an automated reply that they got our email) I struggled with a severe allergic reaction that left me with marks even after almost 30 days. And we still check our mattress now and then for bed bugs. Now, unfortunate events like this can happen to any hotel, but one would expect a fairer and more professional settlement of the situation, with more care for the customer experience. In the end our vacation was ruined and we still got to pay for the "fun".
Book something else, not worth the money
This is not hotel, this is apartment hotel so no cleaning during your stay. Definitely not a 4*, probably 2-3*.No soap at the room and no paper at WC. Same in public WC close to pool. Pool Is small and croudy during summer season. Broken equipment and furniture at room and same within hotel area. You can eat breakfest at hotel for 9€ per person and it’s not worth the money. 1 ham, 1 cheese, baguette and croissant with coffe. Nothing else, no fruits or vegitebbles for your sandwich. Mini supermarket is located 500m from hotel so buy your breakfest there. Dinner at hotel restaurant is expensive 25€ for main course or 35€ for starter, main and dessert. No drinks included.playground is same as pool, small and kids didn’t like it at all. IMPORTANT! No Air-condition in the room so if you stay at summer it will hot in the summer. Rooms are for 6 persons and they have one small fan which you can move around but it will not gonna help you. Advice, don’t book a room on West side during summer stay because it will be hot in the room by the evening. Only good thing, room was clean when we arrived and very nice and clean sheets.
Off Season : Friendly staff, clean room, swimming pool delicious
One of the benefits of off season tourism is the disponibility - the rooms, the staff, the equipment. The room we had was clean and the terrasse delightful. The staff - reception and cleaning - is competent and friendly. And there is the restaurant Fuzion inside the Hotel which has many advantages.
Excellent base for family beach holiday
We stayed in a semi-detached villa in this newly opened residence which was very clean on arrival. Beds comfy, kitchen well equipped and good soundproofing between villas. Five minutes walk to a lovely sandy beach. Excellent onsite pool which is a good length and has massage bubbles at one end. We particularly liked the onsite restaurant - very friendly service and delicious food. The residence has pleasant communal gardens with palm trees etc. Whilst some might find the architecture modern and out of keeping with the town, it did provide a good amount of shade. We managed to find a parking space every time we returned although not in the specific place for our villa. The residence is located right on the western edge of the resort and is near the Cite D'Eau swimming complex, a riding stables and a short drive from the excellent HyperU in Agde. The nearest shops within walking distance are at the Mail de Rochelongue which does not look that inspiring but in fact has a very good bakery and takeaway pizza place. It is a pleasant walk along the beach to get the croissants in the morning. There is a free childrens club. Free wifi which worked well in our villa. If you can understand French it is worth going to the welcome meeting held on Sunday mornings. Downsides of the residence - bunks in children's bedroom not full size - suitable for up to 5ft 3. Loo is downstairs with no basin and wash basin upstairs in the bathroom. Pool does not have a lifeguard and sadly many guests do not observe the rules and they are not enforced by the management. It is best to get there early in the day for proper swimming.
Good hotel at decent price!
Really liked this hotel, had everything in you needed. Was definitely worth booking the room with a terrace, so we could sit out of an evening. Was good to have the option to eat in, after a week travelling around South of France! Only downside - which was probably our fault for not looking into properly, this place is very far from the port and all of the restaurants at that end (if you wanted to walk in and have a drink with dinner as we did) - about 40 mins there and 40 mins back! Only did that once!
