Lovely villa

Reviewed 9 november, 2021

This was our first time in Crete & it deffinately won’t be my last . We had a 3 bedroom villa on the Miramare complex and what a lovely villa it was - plenty big enough & equipped for 4 of us , spotlessly clean & amazing sea views . The town was a 20 min walk & was so worth going into - fabulous shops ( especially the jewellers) , restaurants & scenery - to just sit my there , enjoy a vino & people watch after a very strange time was just amazing . We ate in the hotel on a couple of occasions which was lovely

Chilled and stress free

Reviewed 31 october, 2021

This hotel is something of a hidden gem, with a vibe that’s far less hectic, very chilled and quiet than the usual hotels. No kids club, karaoke, bingo or towels on sun beds here. After the pandemic and work pressures, these last 2 weeks of October in Miramare provided the down time we needed. This is a really peaceful hotel. Many people just chilling and reading or listening to music on their ear buds but definitely no drama or shenanigans or drunken chavs. The food was amazing (even the staff ate there) and if you love healthy eating you’ll love it here. I see some reviews mention a poor selection but let me reassure you that that’s not the case, (unless you only want to eat pizza and chips that is) Once there you need download the hotels App so you can book hourly gym slots etc. A very special and genuine thank you to the reception manager Jana who looked after me and my family so well. To the 2 Marias’ (Big and Small - their words) and the fabulous Katerina too. Thank you to Ayopizoa too who refreshed our room and made everything tidy each day - what a hard working lovely lady. Thank you to Mr Konstantinormanola and Michalias the Maitre d too. All of the waiters and waitresses too, George, Georgia, Maria. Everyone works so hard and their days are so long. My family had a much needed chilled time here and would recommend the Miramare if a quiet break is what you’re looking for. If you want noisy pool games and drunks singing in the bar with unchecked kids running about then you’ll need to look elsewhere as this is not the way Miramare operates.

Stelina Spa treatments at Miramare Resort & Spa hotel

Reviewed 24 october, 2021

Stelina helped me choose a massage and treatment whilst at the hotel. I can jonestly say one of the best massages and treatments had. Stelina worked on my neck shoulders and back leaving me with no crunching sounds at end of massage. My skin following vanilla treatment felt baby soft. Highly recommend charges are on par to other hotels I have stopped at.

Now whe i write reviews these are mine & my wifes alone so here goes Plus points Views from hotel are stunning but only if you pay for them we where looking at some trees but nice quiet room Food very good chefs know what they are doing as they minimise food waste All inclusive drinks branded say no more Restaurant manger deserves a medal works none stop also shout out to waiter George allways polite and engaging Porters work so hard its un real Spa little bit expensive but worth it you pay for what you get all in a fantastic holiday and wouid i return to right we would Recommendations Ever single person as suffered fro covid but why didt the miramar do some sort of refurb there's that much chipwood teak furniture we thought we had tie warped to the 70s Also stop moaning about the waik up to the rooms its advertised well in the paper work hotel is built on a hill and theres mobility problems now this is my big gripe Sunbeds come on miramare slapping some wood around battered old sunbeds dont look good if anything buy some cushions to put on them be warned if you have not got a bad back you will have after being on these for a week Also sighning in to reception on your smart phone that is a pain but least it gives the receptionist with the glasses some more time to stand in the office vaping while your struggling to sighn in dont look good
