Just returned from a week in Alabama for a baseball tournament. We had a group of us staying in the hotel. The staff were so very friendly & helpful. There are some restrictions due to covid with room cleaning but if you request your room to be cleaned they will come in to do it. I really enjoyed my stay and if ever have a chance to return to Alabama I will stay here again. The night Manager was so patient with our group that hung around the lobby area when it rained. 100% recommend this hotel.
Needs updating, skimpy on amenities

The staff was professional and efficient, check in was easy. However the property is a bit run down and badly in need of updating. For example the carpet in the halls and side entrances was stained, the handle on our balcony door was broken, there were no USB ports, and our mattress was softer than those in previous stays. There were 3 towels, 2 washcloths and 2 hand towels in a double Queen bedroom that sleeps 4 and no microwave.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR POINTS!

This was a last minute stop along my travel route. Im not really sure where to start. Upon arriving no one was at the desk, there was a woman sitting at a table in the reception area on her phone, turned out to the clerk. She was in no hurry to check us in. We had to ask for the top floor even though we are platinum members and it in our preference list. Yes I realize that seems petty, but it was just the start. After walking 5 miles to get the room( yes exaggeration), the AC did not work, had a strange smell which immediately game me a headache, the couch looked filthy and found the room next to our had smokers. Tried to call the front desk 3x about the AC but there was no answer, so we walked back down to find her sitting at the same table again. Basically had to have a conversation with her across the room to asked for new room and tell her about the AC. The first thing she says is did you try adjusting it from the wall unit, I said yes was I supposed to do it some other way, she didn't even acknowledge my question. Just proceeded with changing the room. This room was better, however there was so much dust on the wall, it looked like someone started to clean an area then stopped, carpet was stained, couch still dirty, shower head and faucet both stuck out from wall about an inch, and the toilet ran periodically. If we weren't exhausted from travel we would have left. Very disappointing for a courtyard!
There was another couple there who opted to leave the hotel due to the dirty bedding in their room.
Not only is this hotel not up to what one would expect from a Courtyard, but hoenstly I expect more from a Motel 6.

I book corporate travel. I had to call 3 times to get the credit card authorization. Even though I filed stating no f&b/incidentals they charged to the room. After 30
minutes on hold the surly attendant at the front desk told me he would credit the account, but hung up on me (no good bye or anytthing) as I was requesting a copy of the confirmation. NEVER came through. Then I noticed in lieu of sending me the for three separate folios I booked, the sent me the same folio three times. I was left on hold repeatedly for 30 minutes/ 10 minutes/10 minutes when I finally got picked up DArrien tole me guests in line were more important. Definitely don't recommend this hotel for service. Worst ever.

Hotel is extremely dirty. Looks like the bathroom has not been cleaned in weeks if not months. This is definitely not a three-star hotel. We got the room with two beds but a single set of towels. The whole hotel needs a very thorough cleaning.
