Terrible service and skimpy breakfast, rooms are modern but cramped

Reviewed 23 december, 2021

Stayed here in December 2021. Upon check-in, the man behind the desk practically threw the keys at me. He didn't want my drivers license (usually required) and didn't provide any information like breakfast start/end time, where the fitness room was, etc. It felt like he was waiting for me to arrive so he could go home. The lack of service continued for our two-night stay. I had a few questions for the front desk person on the last morning of our stay and she clearly was unhappy that she had to remove her earbuds to listen and to answer me. This happened several times. No maid service at all "due to Covid." The linens for the pullout bed weren't in the room so I had to go fetch them at 9:00 pm because the person at the front desk said "I'm here alone." Had to also fetch new towels and take out my own trash. They're obviously using the pandemic to skimp on service. Fine, but if you're not providing maid service, then linens, towels, and trash bags should be very easy to get. The room was newly renovated and very clean. There simply wasn't enough space for a king bed and a sofa bed so it was hard to manuever when the sofa bed was out. It's nice that the sink is outside the room with the toilet and shower but the countertop was small with far less space for toiletries, etc. than most hotels. It was hard to have privacy if someone was in shower or using the toilet because that was the only place you where someone in the living area couldn't see you. This is a problem when traveling with a tween. Breakfast was lame. The only hot item was make-your-own waffles. They ran out of milk, cereal, yogurt, and fresh fruit well before the end of breakfast time. They begrudgingly brought out one yogurt when I asked. The hotel was mostly empty but, for some reason, they put us in a room right next to another occupied room, so we had to listen to other people's noise. I won't stay here again. It's a nice facility and the rooms are fresh (if small) but the service was simply terrible. There are other hotels within a one-mile radius that are better.

Great stay! Friendly staff!

Christina, the general manager, was AMAZING! We were there for a youth football tournament and she was completely unfazed by our boys’ excitement, noise, and the amount of people in our party! She is the BEST! Christopher at the front desk was also great. He was super helpful and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

I visit Orlando often and this was my first stay at SpringHill Suites Orlando Altamonte and I must say I was very pleased with my decision to choose this hotel. Very modern, clean rooms and exceptional service from Jeff, Matt, and Cristina. Location is very convenient and lot of restaurant choice locally. Would highly recommend and will certainly return. Convenient

Reviewed 4 october, 2021

I stayed at the Springhill Suites/Altamonte Springs in August for one night. It was in a convenient location. Check-in was quick, room was clean, the continental breakfast was decent considering the pandemic. I met Jeff at the front desk upon c/o. He was very nice. I'd stay there again.

Great place to stay!

We meant to leave a review weeks ago but we have been on the road traveling. we stayed at this property for a baseball event. In all this property is a great value for the money. The location is close but not to close to I4 for easy access. The rooms are very nice and the staff is accommodating. On our last day my wife and i decided to go to Universal Studios with our son. The overnight staff member Jeff was extremely helpful with our questions regarding tickets, the park, and places to eat. We will definitely return when we visit the Orlando area.
